Gundy. That's Gruden money, not Gundy money. Currie, Haslam, Peyton whoever else is on the search team,​ need to slow down and hire someone that wants the job, not someone you have to beg and overpay to get.

I don't understand why anyone cares how much it is if it isn't their money. Imagine getting mad at your neighbor for donating $100k for a company to redo the community pool when you know there's a place that would do it for $75k. Same result.

8 million for Gundy all because Jimmy Haslam and his lap dog John Currie tried the ole dirty sanchez on the other big money boosters and Vol fans. Good grief.

We could have gotten Gundy for prob 5.5 million a week ago. Hell we could have Tee for probably 3.5 million which would leave a boat load for his staff. This is what allowing Jimmy Haslam run our athletic department - and we saw today in court what Jimmy Haslam is about!

All we have heard is Haslem let Gruden borrow his plane and radio host are told by Gruden to not ask him about Tennessee. I am not sure what to believe if someone just wants attention and says they have sources and they are really just a mouth breather but I can tell you that since 2011 people been talking about he coming and he ain't here it's a smoke screen or some bs. If Gruden cared at all he could say something and it would be done or he could say I don't want to coach.

There's only two lines that need to be drawn:

-one from Haslam to Currie

and

-the one we (fans, alumnae, etc.) laid down in the sand, and will staunchly defend

Haslam sabotaged the whole thing with the help of his stooge; afterall, did anyone expect Currie to challenge Haslam? Of course not. At least until Wyatt Earp came and brought hell with him.

None of what they said has been disproved, since Schiano was a rogue act.
There are a lot of bullet points of supporting evidence that there are two factions in play; one wanted and offered Jon Gruden, the other faction wanted to hook their buddy at THE Ohio State up with a ludicrous and undeserved salary.
People posted here of internal power struggles a week ago. That was correct.
Their proposed timeline was correct. Much of what a couple of the trusted people of this continuing thread said was still very likely correct.
