FF sucks. First they wanna cry because we wont pay top dollar for a coach. Now, after this crap show, they are gonna cry because we are "overpaying" for a good coach.

After the disastrous season, and then the absolute monstrocity of an abortion that happened sunday, we were always going to have to pay a hefty premium for any coach worth a damn.

Agree.

Fans should just take it and not care if the administration makes crap hires.

We also shouldn’t care if the potential coach’s name is attached to Sandusky.

If we had signed Schiano, he would have been one of the first ones lined up telling us what a bad hire it was. He would have brought up the Penn State stuff and how players hated him in the NFL. It was a no win for us no matter what happened. Should have never been considered.

I don’t give a damn how much money we’re paying him. Tennessee has the money. Trust me. We could pay a coach 15 a year if it came down to it.

tennessee’s broken memorandum of understanding with greg schiano called for him to be paid an average of $4.5 million per year over six years, a source told govols247 on tuesday.

The mou started at a lower number and climbed over the life of the contract, the source said.

Just an FYI for anyone who wanted to know what we planned to pay Schiano.

That is what I've never understood. I don't think hiring Schiano had anything to do with saving money, it was the Haslams and Currie both getting infatuated with a guy long ago and living in a echo chamber.

Just saw a tweet from an Oklahoma sports reporter (one of their TV guys): "Who OK St should go after if Gundy leaves..." with a list of candidates. That's a positive sign for us. On twitter the OK St. community believes this is serious.
