Currie needs to be stopped from hiring anybody and replaced with Blackburn or Fulmer.

I get the outrage, but to go from Greg Schiano to Mike Gundy, that's a big difference there.

So, why don't we release the facts about the pursuit of Gruden. What have we got to lose? At worst, we get rid of Currie.

I really should have gone into college administration instead of accounting. I could royally jack up a hire, have an entire fan base turn against me, and still make millions.

How is he still employed?

Said another way, the people who got Gruden to consider coaching here in the first place are still real people with real money. They wanted, and still want him. But everyone realizes now, Currie and the Haslam influence HAS to go.

But realistically how can anyone touch Haslam? That's the part I just don't see a path for. If the other side spent 5 years and still got outmaneuvered on a coaching hire, how will they just boot them out the door?

If folks are going to give Currie a pass they deserve what they get. CURRIE is the one that has screwed us because he is a Haslam and Davenport PUPPET and they are all Haslams puppets. The HOUSE of PUPPETS lead by puppet master!!!!! That has to change, people need to understand that. And if the boosters truly had Gruden they need to be loud as hell. CAN CURRIE NOW or lose.

Currie just did what he was told. I lay blame on him for not being a man and doing the right thing. For not saying no or (from my perspective) even questioning anything.

I can fully understand why he complied with Haslam, he was/is getting a really big paycheck. And probably some Pilot rebates too.

How many National Championships has Gruden won?

Lets put it in this perspective.

Since 2009, TN has won 57 games
Since 2009, OSU has won 86 games

OSU also hasn't missed going to a bowl game since 2006

UT has missed going to a bowl 4 years

OSU finished out of the top 25 only three times since 2009

UT has only finished IN the top 25 TWICE since 2009

We can and have done a lot worse than Gundy.

I agree, however that decision has already been made imo .... Currie will hire the next coach but not the one after him

But what happened to the power shift that you guys said happened weeks ago? We were past this point. Booms were happening, parties were being planned, the whole infrastructure had shifted with secret societies and academics.

You are trying to lead us down a path that some of you said was already tread.

At this point in time, so would Uncle Rico.
The University of Tennessee, through the actions of its prime benefactors, is behind a tremendous 8-ball with the coaching search. I don't know if it was planned this way (which would be an amazingly detailed and orchestrated production) or it just has ended up this way. But we are not in a very good position with any negotiations regarding a coach.

Not going to happen because/until the people you are referring to come out publicly with their financial commitment to Gruden and against Haslam/Currie. Not sure anyone other than the people on this tread believes Gruden was ever a thing. Got to come out of the dark to be taken seriously.

I will say this isn’t all bad. He turned down Florida real quick and wasn’t pimping for a raise.
