A bit unrelated to the current discussion, but after the dust settles (with or without Currie), what does everyone think about Peerless Price for WR coach? This is the 2nd time he has recently expressed interest:

Interesting on many levels:

“One of the more telling moments in Merrill's piece comes when a Knoxville attorney characterizes the family mentality:

"They are not used to anybody ever questioning them on any level at any time. That's probably part of their problem. Every business, every organization, every family, every relationship needs somebody to tell you no. No one ever questioned anything they did. Ever."

In other Browns' legal snafus, executive Jon Sandusky — son of Penn State child abuser Jerry — was arrested in Frago last night with a DUI.”

You don't want Gruden. You want who I say you want!

Needs a "Let 'em eat cake!!" caption, imo

When I made the joke about Haslam being linked to Sandusky, I didn't think there actually was one.

I'd like to see Jon Gruden speak out this time around. His silence is :thud::thud:. Unless there's been some recent news or word direct from the horses mouth.

Just wondering if Gruden did actually sign the contract but Currie never signed it because he and Haslam wanted someone else. Maybe that's why they were so confident and were saying he signed and was a done deal. Just like everyone else trying to figure out what went wrong.
Remember about 2 weeks ago on MNF when Gruden seemed quiet and not his usual talkative self? I wonder if that haf anything to do with him perhaps seeing that Currie and the Haslams were giving him the shrug.

You can shoot the messenger if you wish. Was just told by a member of the AD it’s Gundy. I don’t know anything further and he is someone I would put a fair amount of trust in. Maybe his intel is not correct only passing on what I’ve been told.

Have boosters other than Haslam signed off on this? Are the boosters back in line behind the House of Haslam?

I will also say, that if this goes well, look for Currie to be fired and Fulmer to have a real legitimate shot at AD. (No timetable, just word)

I can say it 10 more if you would like. Truth is easy to talk about.

"Truth" for you may be that you don't care about character or integrity. That your only consideration in rejecting Schiano is that he's a mediocre coach.

But you're not me. You're not any of us. You speak for one person.

Now, there are certainly at least a few others who share your viewpoint on the Schiano question. I've seen them post.

But I've also seen a lot more folks post who rejected Schiano because of his questionable integrity at the time of one of the most notorious crimes ever associated with the game of football.

So, you've said where you stand. We got it. Stop trying to tell the rest of us that we are there with you. It is simply not true for many of us.

#CharacterMatters.

I still want Currie gone and still want Gruden, but I can get behind this considering the spot we're in right now. As long as he brings in a good defensive staff he will do good things here.
