Right, he just put the puppet in place that would. I just now realized after looking back that Blackburn never even got an interview for the AD position. Apparently the AD search was all a ruse as well. This has Haslam's fingerprints all over it.

Why can't we renegotiate his contract. His going to be miserable on campus. Stick him in a corner and give the duties to Fulmer or someone else..

Exactly. We can’t just poof these people away with our wishes. They are so entangled here, it’s ridiculous.

I hate to say this but we got to let this s*it burn. We need no one to accept this job. We need no one at the stadium next year. We need boosters to not give one red cent. We need to act like we don’t care anymore. Empty Neyland x 1000. Take the stickers off your cars, mail your TN stuff to the University cc the President of UT, blow up your legislators, blow Bill with letters and twitters that say we will never vote for you again. Tell Peyton we are so disappointed in him.

We need to get the message across this has very little to do with Schiano, but everything to do with purging this University of Haslam. It may take a long time, but we got to do it. Not just for a few days or weeks, but YEARS, if that what it takes.

We have got to be so super serious about this.

I cannot stress enough how important I think your message is. I just wanted to say 'Thank You' for putting so much emphasis on accountability.

I have been in management since I graduated college 13 years ago and I am in the Tennessee National Guard.. accountability.. consistently applied to all, is necessary for organizations to be successful.

Also, I want to thank you for taking the time to fill us in on gaps with class. I know some people would throw others under the bus without thinking about ramifications.

But you're taking the high road and using class. I greatly appreciate that.

I would love to see The Rock painted with a nice pithy message to Haslam. Something like "Keep Haslam's Hands off our University." Or maybe put a VN spin to it: "Haslam and Currie:GTFO!"

We got any rock painters in here? Would love for something like that to go viral on Twitter. :)

The reality is Currie doesn’t run a super tight ship with no leaks, that’s impossible. You think an agent or a representative of the coach or agent wouldn’t leak something about being contacted. One all that would do is help the coach and agent by drawing attention to them and possibly a bidding war for the coach. Secondly the AD has zero power to stop anyone from leaking anything outside his own right group.

This tells us Currie didn’t reach out and talk to anyone associated with any other coach besides schiano. The only reason that was kept so quiet was because both sides knew the UT fan base wanted better but our AD also thought we would just support whoever he shoved in front of the podium.

Sadly at the detriment to the university and near future of this team he learned we weren’t gonna accept just whoever. We wanted a winner and now that he is forced to look at other coaches we will see how uncontrollable leaks are in an actual coaching search.

Currie is a done at UT, whether he knows it or not. Haslam you reign will never succeed at this point. People have had it, UT can either break away from that or go down the ship with them. Because the bulk of the fan base refuses this leadership anymore!

We have to make life so damn miserable for Currie the next few weeks that he can't wait to leave. Chant fire him at games, paint his name on the rock, heckle him on campus, I mean make the guy go beserk and then maybe he will turn on his puppetmaster Haslam.

Also we need the AD to turn against him too as someone already did in leaking Schiano to the press Sunday.

I don't disagree in principal. The annoyance right now is to the University, which is good. The annoyance in my opinion needs to shift to the source.

We all saw the effects of social media Sunday. A solid social, viral and vicous media campaign needs to be launched against HoH. All wings of the HoH. Pilot and especially the governor. You start affecting Bill Haslam whose aspirations are for much more for the political arena - which is public and subject to public perception - then in my opinion you affect the entire structure. Daddy Jim WANTS his son to be a US Senator or President of the University. If this sh** storm is attached to him like herpes, we then affect the entire narrative.

Bolded part is simply not true. If you don't want to listen to those here who were saying it at the time, Brice confirmed that Currie met with Gruden. He was keeping the appearance of working the deal the boosters wanted while back dooring Schiano in secret.

Currie is the symptom, not the cause. If you only remove the symptom, the disease remains.

To be cured, we have to remove the disease, and we all know who that is.
