Other than the media coaches? I liked Petersen. I liked Mullen(everyone despised), I liked frost as a questionable SEC Hire- - not enough for some. Venables - questionable (HC experience) - Morris: far out there but some day...I want Tee Martin to be great and back at home but to be determined.

To whom might yours be witch?

Witch Doctor would have went with Mullens/Petersen or even Leach but best available now is Kiffin, I dont like what he did last time, but in reality thats as much on Hamilton than Kiffin. If not Kiffin, I fear we are in a 5-7 year downcycle(well below Ky) as we saw first hand Currie is willing to do that with his last attempt and take his lumps 4 years down the road. That bothers me.

Sadly, I believe we waited too long on both. We probably had a better shot at Mullen but that is hearsay. Petersen was my favorite. I really wouldn’t be against Leach. Hamilton really put us in some hurt. We went 4-8 and 0-8 in the SEC.... we hit rock bottom. I fear what you fear as well. But we can only come up from here. My opinion - we can do better. Will we? Definitely not right now after Sunday’s fiasco. I just think we deserve better than someone who walked out on us and continuously mocks us.

I would be ok with Kiffin but that song is beyond gay. Someone embarrassed themselves for even writing that.

we've been butt raped by the AD for over 10 years... Kiffin barely left a bruise

it hurt bad when he left because... wait for it... we WANTED HIM to stay. He left for his dream job - we probably would have done the same thing actually. He regrets that.

He is probably the most experienced with the most fire to want to win here and do well than any of the coaches in the pool remaining that would even consider this job now

I don’t see anyone better who’s going to take this job right now.

He’s a good offensive mind and he’s been around the SEC and PAC 12. He’s young. He recruits well. Has swagger. Draws media attention and fans are infatuated with him. Energizes the fan base. His social media contributions are like the gift that keeps on giving the whole year.

I doubt we consider him though, we’re too busy courting guys like Schiano and Cutcliffe (who I love but would be a terrible fit here right now.)

It’s rough to see the dumpster fire our fan base has become. Everyone on these boards LOATHED Lane Kiffin for nearly a decade.

I personally have gotten over him leaving UT after one year. As soon as I saw the USC position come open, I immediately though he may leave.

With that said, let’s not forget the horrible recruiting class he put together. He had a great win against UGA, but had a terrible loss to UCLA and finished 7-6. The man was literally left at the airport after his final L at USC. He didn’t have success at USC, I don’t see him having it here.

We’re pretty screwed here, folks. We’re going to have to roll the dice on a youngster that hasn’t accomplished anything yet, and hope it works out.

Actually with all the penalties he had to deal with from the P.C. era, he did not do too bad.:hi:

I never had the full on Kiffin hate. 7-6 with that roster was pretty amazing. 2 walk on offensive linemen, turned a lame duck qb into a quality player. He did some good things. Nobody appreciated him trying to take his recruiting class with him, but all the posting up usc stuff in our buildings wasn't true at all. Bring him back. Get the teams swagger back. Start to win again.

So...yes, Kiffin. Really.
