After what happened Sunday, which was a beautiful thing on the part of Vol Nation, Currie wont dare try to ram another coach down our throat. What happened Sunday has put all ADs on notice. The article quoting OSUs AD basically alluded to this change in dynamic. Fans now are empowered. Thats why ESPN, Herby, and the like are pushing back because they are losing power and its a beautiful thing!

I am not anti-Kiffin, but I would be very careful about putting his name out there. I would not put it past him to turn us down in the most embarrassing fashion he could muster just for fun.
I also think Tee starts blocking calls from the 865 area code if we make a public offer to Kiffin.

Same shenanigans as 12 and same result. Gruden obviously has no interest in college coaching or hed be doing it here or elsewhere for lots of $. But after we make our hire this thread will say we had him on the hook and lost him cause of Currie or Haslam. As much as I dont like the guys I dont believe for a second they wouldnt wanna be the heroes of TN and get statues of themselves by bringing in the white whale. Cant wait for the Gruden 2022-23 thread. Bet he have him hooked and lose him again.
Haslams to go to the retirement home. Not true! 2012 Gruden himself said he wasnt interested. Has he said that this time? He has made comments to keep his options open. He will never coach any other college team other than TN. NFL probably so. I do believe 100% we had him this time according to different boosters and former players but the Haslams never wanted him.
Honestly I do think we missed our chance! Currie had one job. The boosters had Gruden sold and all goofball had to do was present him the contract.
This. Quit listening to anything this "Knuck" character says. It's ridiculous. I mean just look at his post that you quoted, he goes out of his way to say "which I heard a little while ago" because he so desperately wants to be an "insider".
Exactly what Ive been saying. This fiasco is a serious black eye on the university and administration whether we want to believe it or not. I sent emails and signed the petitions too but Im looking at this without my orange shades on and the national perception of this is an unprecedented revolt by fans that didnt agree with a hire. Do any of you think any other decent coach is gonna take that same risk? This set us back years, maybe decades, or quite possibly killed this program. Fans did the right thing but this is not gonna end well.
OMG. They are so full of chit.
