I don’t believe Peyton was in on it. Haslam’s have shown their willing to throw ANYONE under the bus after the Pilot investigation to save face and deflect.

Which brings me to another point. How are we allowing someone who multiple people on the stand say was behind the fraud scandal, anywhere near our university right low.

D. Mcnabb on ESPN radio said after this debacle UT is last on the list of all open jobs. That’s why people are saying Tee. Because he might actually say yes. The big splash hires aren’t gonna happen now. JMO.

Yep, but the papa johns insurance jingler signed off on schiano and called people to drum up support for the hire.

But, he's not sure about Tee?

I hope he feels a little foolish today.

1 I like it here.
2 I ended up in a thread with someone who wanted us to rehire Schiano as our DC. I did cry I laughed so hard.
3 I was in a thread with 1 person wanting us to get PM as coach and another poster taking up for Currie.
Enough sad. Scary sh!t out there.

SIAP, but this just goes to show that Currie was never serious about Gruden, never looked at Gruden, and probably never even thought about his name outside that one press conference question. Just ridiculous.

This just pretty much confirms everyone's worst fear and the Schiano was Currie and Haslam's pick from the beginning, this lines up with everything that AV said, and anyone that tries to defend this crap needs to take a long walk off a short pier and Currie needs to be gone tonight, and Haslams disassociated from the University

@flabuck UT didn't want an individual who has been accused by an individual who was under oath of not reporting child sexual abuse. UT didn't want an individual who was voted as the least desirable coach to work for by NFL players. UTdidn't want a person who mistreated multiple employees while working for Tampa Bay. UT didn't want an individual who claims he never did what he was accused of, but yet has never sued McQuary for slander.



Bottom line is that there is much evidence that he's a horrible person, and that doesn't even include the issues relating to possibly not reporting the child sex abuse.



Before you criticize the fans of our proud university, you had better look at your own cast of characters and their many faults. Like your football coach, who had 30+ players arrested at Florida in a 2 year span. Like your AD, who narrowly avoided a show cause penalty during the chaos and deceit that was the last few years of the Jim Tressell era. Gene Smith, who has covered and minimized rulebreaking before, is the last person that I would listen to when it comes to moral and ethical issues in sports.



The difference between the osu and Tennessee is that the fans here realize that there is more to winning than overlooking ethics and morality. It is a sad state of our country when fans get criticized for standing up against a crappy man like Schiano, who was a crappy man even without the allegations of not reporting sexual abuse. And, BTW, do you REALLY think that he spent 5 years of his life working with Sandusky at PSU and didn't know what was going on, when there were rumors for years and years regarding Sandusky's behavior? Get real.



I've never been more proud of a fanbase that what I am of UT fans today. This was a far bigger issue that what is being reported by the national media. It's time that there is accountability for leaders of athletic programs, who get millions of taxpayers dollars from you and me.



Oh, and the other aspect of all of this that gets no reporting by the national media. Who pushed and pushed for Schiano to be hired? None other than our great owner of the Browns, Jimmy Haslam. After all that Jimmy has destroyed with the Browns, do you really think that he and his recommendations should be listened to? H*LL NO! People in Knoxville will not be happy until integrity is restored to UT,the President, Chancellor and Currie are fired, and Jimmy Haslam is brought down a few pegs and learns to make good business decisions related to sports..

This may have already been stated in some way or another, but here goes anyway.

He said never say never, he talked about loving Rocky Top but he never denied or said no publicly.

It looks as if Currie never asked him? He was only interested in Schiano.

Maybe there was nothing to deny? Maybe saying "never say never" was an invitation to ask? Maybe talking about Rocky Top was him saying look at me, I am interested. I know it may be really far fetched, but the fact he nor his agent never said no was because he didn't have anything to say no to?

Have filed info/records requests for municipal, county, state and federal agencies. Just speaking from my own experience and familiarity with applicable laws.

I would not say that I'm 100% he's gone. With that said, I don't see how he can survive. We all need to get up in the morning and start again with emails. They need to fire Currie and remove Haslam from the search committee. UT Football will not survive with these people at the helm..Who in the hell wants to hire Schiano?

Then he damn well needs to say something!! PM has enough pull with TNs AD to NOT be thrown under the bus.

I don't want to believe that PM was involved in this cluster**** but his silence is damning, to say the least.

I think they are working on an exit plan for Currie. He will NEVER be able to go to another event without some type
of uproar from people. No way he stays here.

I think nearly everyone that at first said manning wasnt involved have now said he was. Not sure, but i think so.

I prefer that too. But it's difficult for info to flow freely when posted info either gets shouted down or starts a huge fight in thread.

Just saying. Free flow of info has been DISincentivized. It happens, just the nature of the interwebz.

Edit: to be clear, I am not saying Freak or the mods have disincentivized info here. They do a great job for the most part of keeping trolls subdued.
