Official Jon Gruden Thread XLIV

I agree with your post, but the problem I see is while we are committing to this long term pressure to have Currie removed, he will in the mean time saddles us with a lower tier coach and let the one real opportunity to land Gruden slip through our hands..

How do we handle this?

Do not let Currie make the next hire to begin with. If they do it looks more stupid, probably not to them nuts but to everyone else and most important to the folks that go to the games. I don't like feeling this way, but I'll be darned if I will step foot in Neyland as long as Currie is the AD and Haslam is running the ship. Heck to the NO, NOT ANYMORE!

.... Jimmy Sexton.

That is why I said yesterday we should stay away from Tee. I softened my stance because I love Tee and would love to see a VFL try to bring this sunken ship to surface.

Was going to say sinking, but let's be honest here...

Serious question...and I vomited a version of this yesterday when I was at peak anger...

Who in their right mind would come here for 2 reasons:
1- Coach XYZ has gotten wind of how toxic the Administration is at UT and decides it's not worth the headache.

2- Coach XYZ hasn't heard anything about the admin but sees how the fans are perceived and being roasted by the national media and decides it's not worth the headache.

Coach XYZ realizes the potential for such a strong fan base and sees the resources put behind the program. Decides to be part of the change, not the problem.

Huh? I am listening. I hear a lot. Not your decision what thread I'm in. I've never been rude. I want Gruden. IVE been here

Been here since 2012 pal. Im referencing your blind faith that if we had Gruden *surely* this would not have happened.

We had him then and maybe still have him now, until he publicly decries it, or the Haslam jackwagons and Currie trot another ****bag out.

I hate to say it. But the only message other than the wave from social media that will impact these losers is the message to their wallets. Empty seats, for all events, starting now. Right now.

Did sissy chucky say anything about Ut yet. Oh hey clowney is his guy this game. Ut put hurt on clowney. Help me with the name of lineman

I agree Knuckle.....I think the only way get any looks of good hire much less Gruden is if we(UT) can get Currie replaced before he screws us again.

That is a necessity to say the least. He actually thinks he's gonna retain his position and be well recieved at UT. No ******* way!!

Tee is the best hire not named Grude IMO... same risk we have with mid-major up and comers but a ton more upside in every department.

I agree that Sexton is pure evil, but not enough that it sways me away from the right hire.

Someone needs to convince Currie that if he wants to keep his job, he should go out and do a presser to give the fans an update on all the info they have questions about for as long as they want to ask questions .......... and then fire him.

Also, when Currie gets “let go” the media will make I*t* a story of how this “ridiculous” fan base not only stopped the hiring of a good coach, but had the AD fired too, so when we don’t have instant success we will turn on whoever the coach is. You know, we are the only fan base in America that wants a successful program. (Blue font)

I was absolutely about to type these exact words. Who wants to be an AD at that toxic place! I can hear it now.
