Technically everyone in the AD reports to Currie but it is not quite like a normal reporting structure. The assistant ADs are fielding calls from from boosters. Account reps are dealing with lower tier donors. Condredge has been getting calls as well. That entire staff has been getting their asses handed to them today. I didnt say the nuclear option was off the table but you have to be careful it doesnt become a paper tiger. If every time something doesnt go our way and we threaten to take our money and go home we look like spoiled children. Playing that card means walking away from years of investment. It is a break the glass type thing and Im not sure it will be needed for what unfolds next. Last night was a react right now issue that had to be stopped immediately. Removing John then Bev will be much more calculated and maybe even a drawn out process. I know many would love to just reset with the right people tomorrow but it will not be that easy. One thing that separates people in power is they usually have a strong will to win and they know most people dont have the guts to pursue long term pressure. Bottom line is they know weak willed people quit. That is why I am saying the pressure has to be constant and we have to commit to it long term.
This VFL clamor for Tee would not be happening minus the UT ties. Not an exciting hire at all, they want him here because they would have one of their own in charge and feel comfortable with it. No way he is considered based on his coaching resume at this point. Nothing more than a hire with "potential". Well that potential swings both ways. We need a proven winner at the highest level to resurrect this program.
I bet UT hires him though. Just don't be upset when we get circles coached around us for next few years while Tee is learning on the job.

I could live with Tee, certainly.
He's not the tier we were originally looking for, but as a fallback at this point, he's attractive. And a VFL, which will heal a lot of wounds over coming months and years.
And who knows, he might be capable of championships, with some growth in the job.
Yep, wouldn't complain about Tee. Be pretty content.
