Martin would need to show up hat in hand. He essentially insulted the program when interviewed before. Contrition would go a long way to redemption. Otherwise, leave him in the granola state.

No he didn’t. Where do you guys come up with this stuff? Because he didn’t take the offer? Just like Jay Graham, Terry Fair, and Antone Davis who left the program rather than work here under Dooley or Jones? Why have the past two staffs been unable to have or keep a single Tennessee football player on staff? Because they didn’t want them in the first place.

People have this preconceived idea that Tee is somehow a villain which is kind of stupid. I’m on board with either Tee or Brohm and think both would be good hires.

I know he's an up and comer and would probably be considered a quote unquote "Google coach", but could somebody tell me why Neal Brown at Troy isn't getting serious consideration for some of these jobs out here?...His record is phenomenal, he beat LSU this year, and is probably going to win 10 games for the second year in a row...Oh, and he was born in 1980!...Is there something I'm missing here??

Venables would be the perfect hire. He's Kirby Smart but with a better and more extensive record. Dabo was average before he showed up. It makes too much sense so it won't happen at UT.

Martin could be a good hire with an experienced staff to help guide him. The staff he surrounds himself with would be key.

I think you have it backward. He was the one who was insulted with the lowball offer Jones made to him. No way he could accept it, even despite the very public way it was handled by Jones and company...it was all for show, Sgt Carter wasn’t serious about having Martin join his son add. Tee made the adult, and correct decision for his career, don’t blame him a bit.

To the contrary, it’s Tennessee that should go hat in hand to Tee and offer him the moon to come bail their dumb asses out on this one. I think he’d have a short learning curve, would recruit real, legit top 5 classes here, and do a great job getting us relevant.

With the current climate, it is safe to say that big name hires are unlikely. We still have a shot at a couple good names. I decided to take a poll based on the 3 names I've heard thrown around the most.

Just vote based on who you would support most. Last option is for those who will boycott UT football if any of these options are hired.

Thanks!

Les Miles is interested and would be a great hire.

Not exactly the resume of a coach deserving of a high profile job.
