If the stories stay out there it will hurt his name. Look Peyton is one of my all time favorites. I don't want this to happen, but he needs to come out with a statement if it isn't true.

And if the boosters belief was that Gruden was coming, why in the world would Peyton not want Gruden as HC? I understand that Haslam and Currie have a relationship with Schiano but it makes no sense that Peyton would choose him over Gruden.

I realize that, but I know that a major factor look at when hiring a coach is not just what he can bring for football, but what he can bring for the school as a whole. Look at Bama's enrollment since Saban took over. Kids (even ones not interested in sports) often don't want to go to schools where things in the media aren't going very well

I would be really surprised if Currie isn't fired today, I'd be absolutely flabbergasted if he lasts through the week.

I've done my little part. I've burned up the phones, email, and personal twitter accts letting the "powers to be" know this fan is out until Currie is gone. If any of us had performed at our job like he did yesterday we would've been terminated immediately. There is absolutely no excuse for him to still be employed by the university.

DeerPark got roasted, but he may have been right about Ergen regarding his football funding.

I don't know what it would take to remove the Haslams from power. Bill is the head of the BoT. They've given UT a quarter of a billion dollars. It's almost impossible to get people to turn away from that kind of money for any reason.

If the rest of the boosters truly threaten revolt and go through with it, that's about the only hope short of an NCAA violation causing them to get disassociated.

So funny people said Peyton wouldn't risk his legacy coaching at UT. If he was involved with this potential hire he will have ruined his legacy much quicker. Should have tried coaching.
