I don't know. He's still not telling anyone his plans or motives. The feeling I got from talking to some people was that Currie is working like normal and while he has to feel the pressure, he hasn't let it show to any of them.

If it's Brohm I would imagine that means he has approval from up top.

All the "underlings" want Tee but the way it was described to me was that "the old boy's club" doesn't think it's a good idea.

In this case the Haslem contingent are on the right candidate from that short list IMO. Of course that means we'll get Pruitt.

I told you guys months ago that the garbage UT admin was going to do this to us. I sooo wanted to be wrong. This is our fate now as Worst Case Scenario University. A never ending nightmare of soul sucking betrayal, pathetic ineptitude and embarrassment. 🤕🤢😠😩😡🤢🤕

I'd consider it a good hire and would be very happy. Because of this, he won't be the guy.

I think I will find a guy that I like, then tell everyone that I can't stand him and (poof), he will be hired.

Seriously, the UTAD has not listened to the fan base for the last 4 hires, so why should they start now? On second thought, I think they're listening now.

Watching Chip Kelly press conference is so depressing. They have gotten an ABSOLUTE HOME RUN. They will be in the CFB playoffs soon.

We will be lucky to win an SEC game next year.

I’m gonna go ahead and admit something a lot of people won’t own up to.

I didn’t rally against this hire because of the PSU stuff. I rallied against it because it was a terrible, tone deaf, cheap, lazy hire that was forced thru by the same booster who has ruined this program for years and executed by the AD candidate who never should have been hired in the first place!

The PSU stuff alone is reason enough to not hire him. But so was his resume and history as a coach.

I didn’t do any research on the PSU cause frankly I don’t need to. Someone testified he knew and it wasn’t proven false. If that’s part of the required vetting then we shouldn’t even be considering it.

I agree. I think a large part of the University didn't rally behind him as a hire because he was a flat out terrible hire that stank of the University not taking any steps to get this program back on track. Especially when we were lead to believe that we were going to do whatever the cost to steer this thing in the right direction

However I also think that 20% of the fan base was legit concerned about having someone who was attached to the Penn State incident running our program.

The 80% of fan base who was let down and wanted a good hire grabbed ahold of the Penn State situation and everything blew up from there.

All the talk from every college football expert about how badly Tennessee needed to hit a homerun hire and John Currie flew up there to get that guy. I mean really? Smh.

Schiano was a sucky hire who inspired zero confidence and would be dead in the water recruiting in the South. The outrage was justified for many reasons.

Kirby Smart, Dan Mullen, hell, even Mark Stoops would have had the easiest pitch ever to keep their top targets from going to Tennessee. And it would have never stopped.

It was Butch with the Title IX and Drae Bowles story hanging over his head, except it would have been impossible to squash or make it go away. Would have been another DD situation where it was clear he was toast after year 2, but he would have received a third year and finished off the program for good.

Yea there are more openings this year than i can ever remember and no-one has him as an option except haslam.

One thing going through my mind is that Tennessee is today what Alabama would have been if they had whiffed on Saban.
