Jon Gruden should be labeled as ‘enemy of Tennessee program, and a gutless coward’

I most certainly am correct. Just because he doesnt say it when every vn poster starts a new official Gruden thread doesnt mean he did say it

As other people said—-he asked to not mention anything about the Tennessee job on the Seattle show and OUT OF THE BLUE brings up rocky top....

Come on y’all maybe you like getting played and punked by an actor pretending to actually know **** about football, but I don’t.

Why is it Jon Gruden's fault that some of you delusional, gullible dolts worked yourselves into a frenzy while embarrassing the fanbase over the zero chance he was ever coming? The fault lies in the person you see in the mirror.

Actually he never squashed anything himself this time around and had plenty of chances to.

Yeah, he had fun with it. I thought it was funny to the lengths folks would go to validate what they want to believe.

I mean, would it even matter? He could come out and say point blank that he has no interest in coaching here now or ever and the idiots would still be saying it's a "smokescreen". Whatever that's supposed to mean.

Gruden said no publicly.

Team Currie not only didn't shoot the rumors down, they cultivated them for some reason.

Blame Team Currie and the "insiders" keeping it alive.

When asked about coaching in college he said couldnt do it, too many rules etc.

When asked about the Tennessee job he said i havent talked to anyone and said he enjoyed what he was doing.

People that know him has said he wasnt coming here but it was funny seeing people saying his shade of tie is a sign. I thought it was funny too.

So in an effort of laughter and good sportsmanship......soon....lol

If we now believe Schiano was the only option Curry and Haslam had developed behind a curtain.

And we believe that Gruden wasn't actually contacted, perhaps Gruden sitting in the stands earlier this year, his comments on radio and the reference to Rocky Top was Gruden dropping hints - not to the fan base - but to Curry? Just a thought.

But at this point I really don't know what to think or what to believe. I really thought Peyton was bringing him back.

Gruden is a media whore.
He’s not the cause of the Sunday f up....that would be Currie.

In 2012 he let it be known he didn't want our job. Should have done the same now. It would have calmed the legions of believers and they possibly could have focused on reality and also not added fuel to the rest of college football to shame and ridicule us. He claims to be a vol fan so that wasn't much to ask of him imo.

I always kind of felt like Gruden was playing us for his own amusement. Did he ever say that he definitely was not interested? He may not have been interested, but, I don't recall him ever saying beyond a shadow of a doubt that he was not interested. His lack of interest may have been buried somewhere in all of the BS rumors that have been floated as "gospel" on Volnation. Tennessee may as well be punished with a two year death penalty because that is what this coaching fiasco is going to create for the vols. Remember when SMU got an NCAA-imposed death penalty?

Pump the brakes a little there. We need to put things in order internally before picking a bunch of fights. Gruden is good people and his kid goes to school there. He always spins Tennessee positively. Do we really want to piss on one of the only media members that has great things to say about UT?

How do you know that this asshat AD even spoke to Gruden about our coaching vacancy? SMDH. Put the bottle down and sleep it off

I'm thinking someone either needs a massage or some anger management therapy.

I think that someone needs a massage at their next anger management session. Throw in some meds, also.
OP was one of the most ridiculous and juvenile posts I have ever read on this site. Like a temper tantrum from a three year old.
