First, there is zero evidence of other programs contacting him. Not one report from any source. That's not a situation that amounts to conjecture. Its the available facts of the matter. You aren't debating fairly by suggesting the burden of proving a negative is on me. I suspect you know that, but are counting on no one else calling you out on it. You might as well claim Gruden may still come because we can't prove he said no. Its the logical equivalent to your nonsense statement.
Second, the millionaire point is clear to everyone but you. We don't penalize him by not hiring or interviewing him. Not even close. The guys life is fine. His family is fine. He's got money and a good job. Its not close to convicting someone by staying away from a bad situation surrounding him because we don't have all the evidence required to make the right decision and never will. Its not close to a criminal accusation to state that. Wrap all the condescending rhetoric you want around it. Its a false claim on your part to say it is. And this part is pure speculation on my part, I think you know that.
Finally, I don't care about his coaching resume when it comes to this. Pick any .500 coach you want to come to UT at this point. I'm fine with it. I'll got to the games, buy the popcorn, and stop wondering why we can't win. If that's my choice between that and explaining to my son what the Sandusky scandal is and why our coach was asked questions about it at his press interview, that's the choice I make. You've falsely accuse me of otherwise, based on far less evidence of my character than exists for Schiano's lack of job offers. That speaks volumes of how committed you really are to the truth and being fair in judging another's character.
