The toxicity is because of the university, and the AD being stupid, not so much the fans...But to answer your question - someone who loves a challenge (well, this will sure be one) and the money is right. Someone who excels and doesn't settle for mediocrity.

So I take it you would be perfectly fine with allowing someone who's name is connected to the most notorious pedophile of all time to be the public face of the University of Tennessee.

There are many other football programs that have great history and tradition while also presenting a challenge to potential coaches. Why risk career suicide with the level of incompetence that the UT administration offers? A 5 million dollar check signed by UT spends the same as a 5 million dollar check from anywhere else.

The program is about to lose some serious cash. Heads will roll. Who knows if this actually fixes THE problem though which is Haslam? They run the damn state as well as the program, serious pressure from multiple places would have to happen. Basically all other cash flows must be interrupted until Haslam is done.

My God man how can you be that dense? You have no idea what this did for our program! This was the turning point my ill informed pearl clutcher! The people have spoken, take your mediocrity and dont let the door hit you on the way out! You would have us go gently into that good night, but i assure you sir, that will not happen!

And if Currie had succeeded in sneaking Schiano in under the radar, what then?
Are we supposed to just forget the Penn State fiasco?
Look, Schiano may be as innocent as a babe in the woods for all I know.
However, as far as I'm concerned (and the vast majority of other UT fans, it seems) we need to stay away from ANY ONE ON THAT STAFF during that time period. No way UT can afford to take that chance.
Not to mention, his won/loss record is a joke.
The fact that Urban Meyer vouched for him gives me the creeps-think Aaron Hernandez. Yeah, Urbane Cryer is one hell of a judge of character. No thanks.
Whatever the cost, if avoiding a potential nightmare is the short term price, so be it.

The ESPN mafia and their ilk hate us anyway.

What we wanted is to not have Schiano as Head Coach AND...that is what we got. So....it is not completely different.

This environment wouldn't be toxic if the Haslams and their AD stooges wouldn't time and time again screw over the fan base on sub par flawed coaches, just to maintain their control over the program.

I think we are in much much better shape than PSU was after Sandusky, and it is not even close.

I'm going to take a wild guess and say Mike Leach,Les Miles, Memphis coach, OC from Clemson, Lane Kiffin and the list goes on and on. Throw enough money and watch them come out...

The AD had apparently our all his eggs in one basket with GS. He is literally starting from scratch at the completion off the season, when the work is this should have begun right after UF hit the hail Mary. Then went full tilt when Butch ran Kelly up the middle over and over in the 3rd Q b UGA down 3 scores.

He's only about 8 weeks behind all of D1 football. But with his mighty P5 experience in sure we'll leapfrog everyone.

I hate that it's my team.....but im glad ppl are starting to see the truth.....it's been exposed but ppl have been to sheepishly blind. Expose the leadership problem!!!!!!
