The potential for more angry mobs with Kiffin is reason enough to not offer. We can’t have that appearance again. The media would have an argument that Schiano fiasco was really about him as a coach.

For starters, the alumni base is one of the best and most prideful in the nation...current business graduate student; the strength of the alumni base has proven time over time to be incredible. But, the Haslam name does indeed sicken me a bit. I digress...

I don't think you'd have an angry mob whatsoever. If anything, you may have the opposite, especially if he brought back a staff with Tee, Hardesty, etc. that was full of VFL's. It's such a slam dunk hire, but we are too incompetent to make it happen.

And the national media can kiss my and every other UT fan's a$$. Who cares what they think, and hiring Kiffin would be a perfect middle finger to them representing that.

Wasn't it reported that the football program made $109 Million last year? Wasn't that tops in the SEC?

They are Pennie pinchers that want the most out there of their investment.

Why would they want to pay 5-8 $Million for a coach when a 7-5 record coach will make them that much money?

I wish it was different my friend, but I'm afraid we are stuck with these Rinse and repeat coaches until things change at the Very top!

There will be no booster revolt. Not only do the Haslams have the most money to spend but they actually put their money where their mouth is and spend it.

Tennessee will have to win in spite of their terrible judgement. It is what it is.

Who in the world would go interim though? Doubtful that Hoke or Shoop decide to stay on an extra year with this crap. Maybe you talk a guy like CRG to stay but he has no experience as a coordinator or HC. CRG is the man but that’s asking a lot of him to stay too and doubt he would want to.
