Official Jon Gruden Thread XLIV

Exactly...Hyams pushing "PM signed off on GS" sounds just like AD damage control propaganda

My guess is the "sign off" consisted of something like PM and PF being provided a list of names and asked if they thought these people were competent for the job. My opinions is the VFLs in the room were set up to provide cover for Currie.

Before this gets away or deleted, I’ll begin a thread for us all to congregate and call it something clever. It’ll be the Gruden thread without the harassment of trolls. Whenever the time comes that these threads get archived, I’ll post it. Sound good?

I am disappointed, like thousands here, but maybe it's time to time let the Gruden threads die out and call it something else.

Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things. In this case, our hope should be Currie is run out of town and we circle the wagons .... Regroup and make sure wise choices are made from this point forward.

Currie is the face of our program now. His figure is too toxic.

This isn't just about Gruden. I have said this from the start. It's a movement. And it started yesterday. Every Vol should be proud of what happened yesterday with Schiano. Every Vol should be pissed what Currie and Haslam did.

Folks while you're sitting on your backsides complaining here, I hope to hell you're making you voices heard by sending emails. I can assure you, I practice what I preach, it started at 3 a.m. this morning. We can't move forward with a coaching hire until that SOB Currie is fired...as well as his accomplice Davenport. You cannot convince me her ars didn't know what the hell was going on. Send the emails!!!!!!

Yet they stook up for Penn State. Yay for them.

If the AD, Haslams and the rest of the vol hierarchy really want to quelch the stampede, and tamp down the national media laughing at us, they would do a presser and say something, otherwise, I think they're running scared and afraid to stick their head above the foxhole

Would you come out after yesterday? I wouldn't.

Perspective; we haven’t signed the coach I wanted, but my 6-week old is in surgery right now, so in the grand scheme of things that doesn’t matter. Thoughts and prayers appreciated.

My hope: hire a Vol, and unite 100% as a fan base around them, win, lose, or draw.

Prayers to you & the family.

Out of all the names, he's always been at the bottom of my wish list. But wouldn't surprise me.

no, please, no, please please no, but f*** it, i ain't supporting this sh*t show anymore anyway, get whoever u want

For whoever was asking........BOT members -

Bill Haslam, Chair (Governor of Tennessee)

Raja J. Jubran, Vice Chair (CEO Denark Construction)
Chair of Athletics Committee
Chair of the Executive/Compensation Committee,

Charles C. Anderson, Jr. (CEO Anderson Media)
Committees: Athletics, Executive and Compensation; Finance and Administration; Health Affairs ...

BOARD OF TRUSTEES

Thanks, it was me who asked.

So there is an Athletics committee, of which Charles Anderson is chair? vs a member?

Does anyone know FOR SURE who's on that? I tried searching a year or two ago, and I found nothing.

I still want to know who has their fingers in the pie.

guys it's time to shut this thread down and move on, like you broke up with your girlfriend of 4 years. Tears will fall, hearts will be broken but it's time to heal. The first step is taking down this thread.

The Vol fan base took a stand regardless of who signed off and it made an impact. Forget the naysayers and talking heads. That was a beautiful thing.

This. We need to be mad. It is our state flagship university. We have to demand better both academically and athletically.

Not me. I only said about 2 weeks ago that my source told me our AD loved a certain big 10 assistant. Turns out it was Greggy boy.

I’m still holding out for the great and mighty Grude.

I may try to hit him up later his evening. Pretty sure he is busy this morning.

Please try to find out something!
