Reason for Currie's Silence

Why would he do it if he knew what the reaction would be? Why knowingly roll out a coach you know noone supports?

Why? Because his owner and puppet master the Haslems wanted it. The heck with the fans. All Currie wanted to do was please his bosses. The Haslems through Currie were trying to stick us with another coach that would merely keep them in control of the football program at UT. This was about these scumbag Haslems screwing us all over again to keep their power at UT. They don't care about winning, they just care about their control. We need to organize a widespread boycott of Pilot to hit these scumbags in the wallet.

Many people were applauding Currie for keeping everything about this coaching search close to his chest and not letting anything out. However, in hindsight, I think he was trying to keep it quiet because he knew what the reaction would be. It was almost like he was trying to get the deal finalized without anyone finding out and then we would just be stuck. I feel like this man cannot be trusted. He seems to be very shady in his way of doing things.

Yep. We're screwed folks. We're stuck with this guy, the Haslams and who ever else that keeps helping to wreck this program

I now laugh at the descriptions of the pictures of Currie after the Alabama game; stuff like he looked like “a general surveying the battlefield”.

Lol.

I prefer that he keep everything quiet, don't have any issues with that.

He is silent because his ass is now on the hot seat!!! Spending university money jet setting to the Bahamas while he should have been looking for a HC!! I sincerely believe that this was his man all along and he never saught no one else...I may be wrong but there was a reason he didn't want outside help with the hiring...I can't wait until his stupid ass does speak out!!! Vol nation will be listening 👂👂👂

He's silent because Jimmy Haslam hasn't given him his new talking points yet. Haslam's odd fascination with Schaino dates back several years:
Cleveland Browns Rumors: Jimmy Haslam liked Greg Schiano, Joe Banner didn't

I'm becoming convinced that the reason Currie could take vacation last week is because his top target - Shiano - was already chosen for him and locked up.

Asmuch public backlash as there was today against the possibility of hiring GregSchiano, there was just as much backlash among Tennessee donors. The big names, too, as in seven-figure donors.

Because Currie has been a very naughty boy and tried to hire someone who knew about Sandusky. Currie will be getting coal thrown at him.
