Will Healy grew up in east TN. Has done the impossible with Austin Peay who wasn’t worth a damn bit of anything. He’s incredibly young. He brought in the #1 recruiting class in the FCS and has recruiting ties in TN. The new hire will be a huge risk, regardless, and he looks to have a large ceiling. Lettuce go.

Bill clarke is one hell of an Similar option.

I think it’s time to give up the Sitting HC for the next hire...not that i don’t think you can get one but you don’t get any currently successful/comfortable ones.

I think we have to go freshly fired/left
Sumlin

Or (preferred method)
Hot coordinator
Tee
Arranda
Venebles.

We would be incredibly fortunate to get Sumlin.

based on the fallout I've been hearing I'm not sure how much of that was accurate now. but you hear things and string together several things to reach a theory.. still think some of what I heard was accurate but probably didn't measure up to a serious candidate. certainly if Schiano was seen as # 1 a couple weeks back

I would take Sumlin right now. But he just got $11 million within 60 days with no mitigation. He may not want the headache. But offer him $5 million and give him $1.5 to find the best DC we can find. Freaking pay money.

That video was against the Cowboys.

So he did it 3 times? I saw it here in this article and didn’t watch the video.

“In just Schiano's second game as coach of the Bucs, he famously ordered his players to dive for the legs of the Giants players as Eli Manning was taking a knee to run out the clock. The move was universally condemned, and led to Coughlin undressing Schiano after the game.

When Schiano pulled off a similar move in a loss to the Denver Broncos later in the same season, Peyton let Schiano have it and he used language most had never heard Manning use before.“

Schiano was our #1 even before Patterson, Mullen, Fisher, Frost, Petersen, and everyone else was off the table. Let that sink in.
