How many turndowns to get to Schiano?

I honestly believe this was the first pick of the Haslam family. I'm going with *zero* turn downs. They moved quickly once they started seeing other coaches claimed and more terminations announced yesterday.

Mullen, if you believe the national media, chose Florida when they came calling. I'm not sure. I think Schiano may have been Currie's guy the entire time. He just jetsetted off the bahamas thinking he had his guy.

I believe Schiano was Haslams/Curries first and only choice. Can’t get turned down if you don’t make the offer.

From listening to fox sports it was rumored that currie stood mullen up. Very possible Shi#ano was the main guy all along.

It certainly seems that way. There are so many other choices that would have taken the job before settling for a coordinator.

I do believe he was the annointed one by Haslam and thus Currie.

I would guess other boosters and admin forced others to be vetted. How serious was the vetting? Guess we will know over the coming days.

I just find it hard to believe that Currie interviewed no other coaches besides Schiano.

I think he knew who he was getting the day he came out and said he would have no search help, he would stay silent, and it would be explosive!! I think he knew the very moment Jones was fired!!!

I don't think Currie interviewed anyone else. And clearly, he conducted shi**y due diligence on Schiano.

Administrative malpractice, IMO

I just cannot wrap my head around Currie not interviewing anyone else. I may be wrong but that just seems impossible.

How do u only interview one guy then not even have the balls to tell him sorry I just ruined your reputation so bad u might not ever get another head coaching job . Curry might be the worst choice ever made and that says a lot when your other hires where Hamilton , Jones , Dooley and Hart

Gruden, Patterson, Petersen, Mullen, and maybe Kelly. Sucks. But not the first time this has happened so I don't know why anyone is surprised.
