It's irrelevant whether he did or did not. He was implicated by a coach in a situation that was definitely being covered up at the highest levels. No university should hire him because of that fact alone.

Why are you surprised Hank. These are the same people that just saw our AD try and pass Greg freakin Schiano on us and now think we are suddenly getting an A name. Would be thrilled with one of those names at this point.

Hank, are you able to give any insight as to the feel around the facility currently, or the thoughts surrounding Currie going forward?

Since firing Fulmer, the one thing we haven't done to try to fix things is hiring a Tennessee man. I believe this will be taken out of Currie's hands and Cutcliffe will be targeted.

The only candidate in the ADs mind was the one he tried to hire. Message board fodder about Jon Gruden had no bearing on that other than for some odd reason our idiot AD thought it would be cute to let it keep building while he played secret agent man.

It should be a no brainier that as an AD you can say with 100% certainty that your new hire has no negative connections to a large sexual assault scandal.

There is a chance that Schiano shares some blame here, and that should be all it takes to eliminate him.

Not gonna lie, I've never been a Bruin hater, and I'm still not. But I lost some respect for you today.

I honestly feel that if you hadn't come out strongly for Schiano earlier, you would have been totally against him today. You always seem to put a high importance on morality and ethical behavior, and yet you endorse this man. Even if the Sandusky stuff his BS, this dude is morally rehensible.

I had Venables on my list at the beginning. Tee, I don't know. I can't imagine a big time established coach feeling comfortable unless we fire Currie and hire Blackburn in two days and then start the search. but the problem is, the calendar will be against us now. Currie messed this up pretty bad.

If we're lucky enough for Currie to be fired I'm confident that either Fulmer or Blackburn can get us out of this mess. I'd prefer Fulmer. He knows what it takes to win in this league and he'll be able to identify who can and cannot.

The fans stopped the university from hiring a guy that would have been fired in 3 years anyway. He was 10x the control freak that Butch was in TB. It took us an hour to destroy him, if we hadn't Saban and Mullen would have done it on the recruiting trail after we had hired him. He knew this was going to come out and was trying to get paid before it blew up. Today may have destroyed UT Football, but if so it was a bullet between the eyes instead of letting it hobble along on a broken leg until it starved, we went out with a bang.

I'm sure McQueary, who never coached with Schiano and therefore had no ill will against him, just pulled his name out of thin air.

I have been a fan of his here for months. It's not like today changed anything for me. I choose to believe the allegations are false but if not he got what he deserved.

If it's true that we will have to pay GS some compensation, it's not going to be good. The whole UT system, UTAD and BOT needs a complete overhaul.
