Interesting read for those looking for more info on the whole Schiano/Penn State situation

Greg Schiano Out at Tennessee, and the Twitter Mob That Destroyed Him Was 100% Wrong | Mediaite

Thank you Mr Ziegler. You may infact be privy to information no one else has, and there is a good debate to be had about how to handle, as a society, these instances where people are tainted by he-said-she-said situations.

Perhaps you should write about that instead of badgering tennessee for not wanting the be that particular battlefield.

I’m shocked that this fanbase is acting like they can now custom order their coach. NO major coach without ties to the University will want to get within 100 miles of this job right now. That means no Taggart, Leach, Sumlin, etc. IMO.

The fanbase may have won the battle, but lost the war for a very long time.

The Gruden thread has gone full retard.

Common theories I'm seeing:

-the whole Schiano thing is still a smokescreen for Gruden

-it's Currie's fault we didn't hire Gruden

-it's Davenport's fault we didn't hire Gruden

-it's Haslam's fault we didn't hire Gruden

-beaver's actual goal was to give the fans a voice to fire Currie. Nevermind all that Gruden nonsense I guess

That last statement about Beaver is actually very interesting. He always seemed like he had a specific agenda. We thought it was to hire Gruden. Maybe it wasn’t that, but to get Currie fired. Maybe he’s connected to Blackburn or Fulmer, and the plan he spoke of is to get one of those 2 as the AD.

That is if he is legit and any of the stuff he posted is true.

Today the VOLS fan base collectively said "We are mad as hell and not going to take it anymore".

1. Mike McQuery testifed that Tom Bradley told him another coach - Greg Schiano - was aware of possible child abuse. Tom Bradley has denied this.

2. Anyone who thinks Tee (2 years of coordinator experience; nothing else) would be a better coaching option than Greg Schiano is completely delusional lol.

Found the one other person in the fanbase besides Bruin who was going to support the Schiano hire.

No one is thinking this.

This is the world we live in, and it sucks, but it is what it is. Even if Schiano didn't know anything about Sandusky, his other proven morality flaws make it to where UT cannot take that chance after the Title IX stuff.

nobody thinks this douche

How TF did we even consider Currie?

A simple wikipedia profile view tells you where Schiano worked. It is unreal to me how incompetent this man is.

Let's drop the PSU stuff because that's hearsay. Today has been unfair to Greg Schiano. His character has been questioned as a result of a perceived inability to perform...

Just like a Schiano-helmed Tampa Bay did to Josh Freeman back in 2013.

Freeman 'drug' story shameful, particularly if Bucs inspired 'leak' - CBSSports.com

I don't like the attacks on Schiano. But even though I'll give him the benefit of the doubt personally, it's professional malpractice to hire a HC with those kind of allegations against him. And it's not unfair for fans to be outraged at the thought of hiring someone who has even a 1% chance of being guilty of that like Ian Rapaport is saying.

How sad that we the fans had to use brute force to make that decision instead of the suits who get paid millions of dollars to put out a losing product year after year.
