This may make them come back to Campbell. Hope so. Just eat the buyout.

Well apparently FL has no issues with money and buyouts and A&M certainly doesn't give a rip about money and costs since it's going after jimbo who has a gigantic buyout, but currie was playing the penny slots and saying he had millions...

Just can't see Steele taking the D.C. Job if a younger less qualified Tee Martin is hired as HC.

i don't see Steele going for it either. like someone else said, i don't think Tee is ready for this and could turn out bad. Im all for getting rid of Robert and bring in Jay

Jesus, it sounds like we actually signed him to a MOU how could we let it get that far?

I'm fine with that, but even better: Florida lost out on Frost, because he wanted to finish out the season with his team. Let him do that, and throw a bunch of money at him.

This way we get someone who should have been at or near the top tier from the beginning. He could also start out with the newly appointed AD fully in place.

This is he’ll come

Wonder how much Currie's big blunder will cost us? Killing a deal with a signed MOU and Sexton across the table wouldn't be fun.

I don't think we have to settle for Tee right now. Again we would be back taking a chance on someone who has never been HC. I still think there are some good HC out there that we can get. I think it's going to be harder because of the turmoil we have had in the last 10 yrs. just saw Sportcenter talking to Chris Low. The face of that guy on sportcenter talking about the fan base and how it was unprecedented and what coach would want to come here now. Made like we were idiots for speaking out.

If Peyton pushed for it and tried talking others into it, then **** him too and get the **** out

Chris Lowe -ESPN

Tennessee has backed out of a memorandum of understanding with Ohio State defensive coordinator Greg Schiano to be the Volunteers' next football coach, sources told ESPN's Chris Low.

The memorandum of understanding was signed by both parties Sunday in Columbus, Ohio. But when news broke that Tennessee was close to finalizing a deal with Schiano earlier Sunday, there was public outcry among Tennessee fans, with people citing his alleged connection to the Jerry Sandusky era at Penn State.

Schiano, Urban Meyer's defensive coordinator at Ohio State, and Tom Bradley, defensive coordinator under recently fired UCLA coach Jim Mora, were both Penn State assistants under Joe Paterno during Sandusky's tenure.

Both have denied allegations of their knowledge of child abuse by Sandusky from a 2015 deposition by ex-Penn State assistant Mike McQueary. The allegations became public in July 2016, at which time both Meyer and Mora defended their assistants' integrity.

Tee good recruiter, we could get Chavis, he hasn't got a job. Tennessee needs people who bleed orange.. It's the only thing that works here.

There are so many good options that would work here. No need for an alum unless they're the best choice. Get Venables, no way he turns down 4 mil

Jimbo doesn't have a buyout, he can walk whenever he wants

National media is crucifying us.

How in the actual **** does how the reaction today impact a future coach unless you have some skeletons in your closet as well?

If the fanbase is screaming give us a different coordinator, even give us Lane Kiffin, just not this guy, how is this a fit we are throwing just because we don’t like his credentials???

I agree, Barrett.

First time for everything.
