....two excellent coordinators and be successful if you have a certain level of talent. Theyve played well ever since their AD told Orgeron to butt out of the play calling.
I really am not into who UT hired as HC as long as they hire top shelf assistants.

Ed Orgeron might not speak too good, but he's not a dumb*** when it comes to football. He's a great recruiter, and fabulous defensive mind. Especially when it comes to drawing up blitzes and coaching the defensive front seven.
My granny could coach LSU to 8 wins
The same for Phil. Not saying he was a dumbass but with Cut and Chief he was good, when they were gone not so much.
he beat a bunch of bums with the exception of the Auburn miracle and I still haven't figured out how they won that game. Lucked out vs uf also or he'd been fired before the end of the season.
Give him time. His act will get real old.
Plus, we've tried dumbass TWICE, one with two pretty good coordinators (Chaney and Wilcox) and didn't do ****.
Could of been like that for Jones if he didnt handcuff the offense and let an OC have full control.. I suppose
Well, if you think with the personnel they had especially on the offensive line (or lack of it) and Oregon didn't do at least a B or B+ job... chances are your granny has more football knowledge.
So, when they lose its Orgeron's fault, if they win its someone's get the credit. You are prime example of why fans have no business involved in coaching decisions.
lol: thanks Ed!
So, let me get this right, I (Ed) started an account on this forum back in 2010 when I was at USC because I knew in the future I would be the head coach at LSU in case some Tennessee fan didn't like my hire?
The cookie monster has probably not done an A+ job this season, but B to B+ is not really a discussion. Orgeron had a tough job this year, other than the Troy loss (which looks like a turning point in the season and probably needed to happen), not sure there is any glaring "stupid" decision. When people throw "dumb" or "stupid" around to describe people, its usually a reflection on the poster.
Literally, you had people predicting on this forum that Orgeron would not finish the season - which anyone with any type of intelligence that knows the money involved, should know that was almost an impossibility. Yet the same people who were predicting that ridicules outcome are the probably the same ones saying he is a "dumbass". My question is, what has he done to so horrible or so stupid to get people that don't even know him to say this? I don't.
He was not a good coach at Ole Miss, he is generally considered a good DL coach, and a decent recruiter. He has admitted he didn't get the job done at Ole Miss, but that doesn't make him dumb by itself. With that said, as a LSU fan - I think he has done a much better job than what Les would have done the last 2 years. The story on Ed is yet to be written, but if one is going to knock him for losing games.... some credit has to go to him as to the changes he has and you know what... to some of the wins.
Heck, I don't know if Orgeron is going to work out long-term, but with that said, he has to given a chance and up to this point he has proven his worth. imo Paying $100m+ to Jimbo to me would have not been worth the risk. I have constantly said since last year I thought LSU made the right call considering the head coaching landscape last year - even during the shaky start this year, I still thought it was the best decision at the time.
The firing is the easy part, you tell me, who was LSU going to hire that was going to be better than the plan they setup? And exactly what do you think the cost would have been?
Clearly the people on this board have it all figured out.
Anyone not named Dinardo is given 8 wins at Corn Dog U with the talent they bring every year. It's the next 4 or 5 games that make the difference. Take off the purple and yellow glasses for a second and have some Mardi Gras fun! Let's eat some squirrel and have some cooter brown oysters and let the good times roll!
First, you have no idea what you are talking about... you clearly didn't watch LSU this year... LSU clearly couldn't push over Mississippi State with the lack of talent on the OL and to a lessor extend on the DL.
"Take off the purple and yellow glasses"
Clearly communication is difficult for you, how exactly do I have "purple and yellow glasses" with my comments about the LSU football team.... actually my comments are the exact opposite of what you implied, which is a realistic take on the talent level there.
So, I say they lack talent and where they lack talent and you take that as wearing "purple and gold glasses"... you aren't making much sense to me.
If you had told me that LSU would be 9-3 after about week 5, after seeing the lack of upfront talent... I would have said the person was crazy. Ed has done a good solid job, probably needs two more recruiting classes to make the next step.
I will note you haven't answered my questions.
