Leach wouldn't last 2 years here. Not because he's a bad coach, but his deadpan humor and occasional smartass remarks would not go well with the boosters, who I imagine want some cookie cutter soundbite coach.

I think they would LOVE East Tennessee once he and his wife got there. God's country. Just as beautiful as Washington with better fans.

Dude, I've been pimping Leach since Fulmer got fired...and taking a lot of crap for it.

There are better coaches...but not any that I think will come here. My vote's for The Pirate and The Chief!

Let me break it down for you...

Washington - recreational weed is legal.

Tennessee - medical weed is illegal.

This game is probably a good preview of what our future match-ups with Florida will look like with Leach as our coach.

Why would anyone want this guy? 16 years as a head coach, has won nothing.

If we're that desperate why not Venables? I know he's just a coordinator. I remember last time around, no one wanted Kirby Smart for the same reason. Seems rather foolish now. Venables' track record is as impressive as any coordinator you could find and he's still pretty young. Kirby Smart is working out fine. Lincoln Riley is doing well. Maybe it's better to get a really successful young coordinator than a moderately successful old head coach?
