Dave Clawson or Cutcliffe projected by ESPN

Yeah, anyone saying Clawson has no idea what the hell theyre talking about. Just be sure to remind them via twitter when we get a much better hire.

Who else is he supposed to play? And his team was an absolute dumpster fire when he took over. They had 3 3-9 seasons before he got there. They are now 7-0 in conference, 7 game winning streak, first in their division, and 8-3 overall.

As for the USC stuff, he took his dream job and didn’t know about all the sanctions. Had he known he would have never gone. Not many coaches would have. He was behind the 8 ball from the get go.
Everyone with an IQ over room temperature knew how bad the sanctions were. So you're saying he has really poor judgement. Got it. USC used him like a dirty dishrag to get through a dark period and he let them do it. You're deepening the hole you're digging.

Really? Clawson is at the start of UT Football’s destruction. His pathetic, joke of an offense is what got Fulmer fired...we all know what had happened since.

You guys are right but you know if either get the job after their presser we’ll have a ton of people suddenly declaring how they now like the hire and he’ll be the “right man for the job.”

Happened with Dooley, happened with Jones, and will happen again.

Not me. I have had enough of them selling us scrap metal and swearing it is platinum. If Tennessee football is the muppet show, I will be one of the many Statler or Waldorf characters around here. I will be full fledged negavol.

Good Lord. I would cry. I would rather hire Johnny Majors than Dave Clawson. I am not joking. Is ESPN even aware of what happened at UT with the Clawfense?

You would think Fulmer wouldnt approve of Clawson considering it was him as an OC that cost Fulmer his job.

I would rather Rehire Dooley - Butch was a better hire than either of these Relics .. We need a Fresh & Dynamic Face- Rather take a gamble on a young great Coach than just play not to Lose with these 2 Options

Pump ya brakes there bud... I take Coach Cut over any of the last 3 coaches we’ve... There’s a reason Peyton Manning continued to go work with him throughout his pro career...

Sadly the butthurt is still very real and keeps many from seeing/accepting how good of a coach he is.

You mean how good of a coordinator he is. You were probably one of the ones wanting his head on a platter when he snuck out last time

I've been saying for the last week not to be surprised if it's Cutcliffe. We know his association with Fulmer and Manning and they both are advising Currie. If it's Cut', it will be for a short time to groom a coordinator to take his place.

I like Cut and appreciate all he's done for the university. However, that ship has sailed, IMO.

If it's not Gruden or Petersen, then give me Kiffin!

I'd take Cutcliffe over another mid-major coach. TN has turned into the Browns, they both just throwing darts to pick coaches.

Agree...but if Cut or Clawson are what Currie considers to be "big, expensive and explosive", then we are in bigger trouble than I thought we were.

Good grief! I’d rather keep what they have now! I’ll just do what folks did in the late 80’s and early 90’s, or your average Bama fan now… get gear from the top team of the year! I remember all the Miami, Nebraska, ND, and Fla St gear rolling around the state. :)

Do coaches in waiting ever work out?
