Strong had no chance at Texas from the get go. The Texas AD didnt like him.

That AD got fired after a year. Charlie failed there on his own.

Why do some people think a coach that failed at a high profile program will get it right the second time around? It's not just Strong, look at Les Miles. He was on the downside of his career at Lsu losing more and more games each season. It's almost like some think all these coaches need is a change of scenery and they can get the magic back. When it's gone it's gone.

I would be very happy with Strong. He did better than great with Louisville, and his USF team is 9-1. I think he has strong character (pun intended). I believe he was thrown into a terrible situation at Texas.

Strong would be a very bad choice. He comes with some negative baggage. However, I do believe when Currier flew to Tampa it was NOT to speak to Gruden, but to interview Charlie Strong at USF. There are 3 coaches out there that are much better. The pirate, Leach, The Mad Hatter, Grass Eating Les Miles and Frost. There you go!
