You're the only person I've seen on this board relentlessly defending Schiano.

As if the scandal wasn't enough, he's an average at best coach with success in a conference so terrible it collapsed because the two good teams wanted out.

lol you're bringing it

I dont want Schiano either, but i am curious as to when America went to a guilty until proven innocent society?

I'd appreciate it if you left the personal attacks out and instead justified why he's even worth a discussion.

I have no faith that Schiano can beat ANY of the best coaches in this league- Smart, Saban, potentially Chip Kelly- and combined with the fact that it's very possible he knew of the abuse at Penn State, he's absolutely not worth hiring as a head coach. Not in any world.

So you don't want him attacking YOU "personally" while YOU do the exact same thing to someone you don't know? Got it.

Please provide any proof of Les having any health issues. I’m very anti Les but i would love to know your insider take of his health records.

I dont know he has any ('ceptin for bein' mad as a hatter) health issues .... yet.

I'm just NOT for hiring a guy we'll want here for 10 or fifteen years and him already in his mid 60's.

No. Not Les Miles.

Of course he has.

And I have absolutely no reason to believe anyone at Penn State did not know that the rape of children was going on considering how long Sandusky was at that school and how long he was preying on victims.

Absolutely agree.

NO Schiano!

It depends on how it fits your narrative. Switch Schiano and Gruden and it would be well he's innocent until proven guilty. The confirmation bias at work.

:rock:The primary reason that Les Miles is not receiving consideration is his age...64 years old.

Report: Tennessee not ruling out Ohio State defensive coordinator Greg Schiano

Article sites a source saying if Currie's main guys fell through its Schiano.

I would guess Kelly & Gruden would be the main guys they are referring to?

An earlier article said he would look at Mullen, but then numours articles about how Schiano has been flying up that list.

Me
Personally I don't understand how it isn't Les Miles at Tennessee

If Tennessee doesn’t hire a priven HC then I’m out. Not spending my money on up and comers until they’ve upped and comed.

Actually buddy you need to look that up.
He has denied it and that's Currie's job to judge what he thinks based on his, his family's, and other coaches stories.

If they do and your gone.... we will see you back when the wins roll in.

Anybody who got his azz whipped by Butch Jones 69-38 in his first year at Cincinnati (4-8) should be disqualified. He let the Botchfense score 69 points. And everyone complaining that we hired a guy who lost to Dooley...

My guess is they feel confident Mullen will accept or are fine if he doesn't with going after Schiano.

Even if FSU opens up (and Jimbo goes to FSU) , another article said they would go after Brian Kelly as first choice.

Is Greg Schiano the Big, Expensive and explosive coach John Currie promised in his press conference after coach BJ was fired?

I think Currie thought one thing and now that coach or coaches either don't want to coach, better jobs have opened, or coaches are using Tennessee's opening as leverage to get a raise where they are now.

Don't forget this is Currie's first football hire ever.

Jimmy Hyams just told the world that we would never be able to hire anyone and that Currie hadn't even started interviewing people yet we're supposed to have someone in place next week.

Make your feeble mind up, Jimmy.

He's literally an idiot. I don't know why he has a radio show. To be that bad at your job and still even have a job is mind blowing. Good god

tennessee fund is already begging me for 2018 donations. they got two problems: 1.) no gruden no money, i dont care if he turned us down or not. 2.) tax law change means no more deductions and i'm pretty dang sure the bill will pass.

UT is in trouble if it does. I only donate for the deduction. I went to 3 games this year not including bama which was a joke.

I think everything is speculation and a hand full of people know what's happening and they are not leaking. Regardless if we like the hire he makes he was completely honest when he said don't believe anything unless it comes from me (Currie). It's driving the media crazy and the fans but I don't think Hyams booster source knows much if any more than the rest of us.

Let’s pretend Gruden was never an option and even if he was, our AD tried with an obnoxious amount of money and he still said no simply because he doesn’t really want to coach. In that case how do you logically say no Gruden, no money?
