Bingo & 'nuff said. Chip's not going to be willing to enter into the SEC'S recruiting boiling pot when he can move to LA; battling in the PAC 12 where he knows he can win.

Florida even beats TN off the field. If they get Chip Kelly we are in big trouble next year and years afterwards. We will never beat Florida for another 10 years. Why isn't or hasn't Currier talk to Chip. He was there and we let it slip threw our finger. Another one bites the dust....

If UF can't get Kelly or Frost, I think they'd go after Taggart and he'd probably jump at that opportunity.

Rumor I saw is Kelly to Florida but he can’t announce till after FSU. Something about if he announces before their season ends, he loses $5 mil from the NFL.

But that’s just twitter rumors, so who knows.

Gruden is coaching us and the Bucs next year, and Chip Kelly is coaching Florida and UCLA.

Those rumors aren't true about his contract with the NFL. It's been reported he only forgoes money if he takes another NFL gig. College job won't affect that.

It'll be easy for all schools coach shopping right now to blunder. All likely candidates have baggage it seems. Just post a name and volnation will say- no way. Whoever is hired, my crystal ball says there will be a bunch of "We got another Butch". That's what makes it fun. :popcorn:

Don't think if Florida hires someone before us, that they did better and stole someone from us. They may get stuck with another shark fishing coach.

Doug Mathews radio show made more sense on the criteria for the hire than anything I've heard so far. We will have a coach by the 10th.

Not according CBS. Lots of conflicting info about his contracts especially SF buyout. If nothing happens by Monday then Gator fans should begin to worry imo.

So Currie made an offer to Chip Kelly? Chip Kelly considers offers from Florida, UCLA, turns down Tennessee

Personally, I don't believe he did. Rather, UT may have made an inquiry but I doubt it was serious.

The musical chairs will start soon. I'm not sure UT will get any of it's preferred candidates. There are too many competing schools.

UCLA just fired Mora. I predict Mora to be UT's next coach. He'll be the only one that doesn't say no.

Who's your favorite fallback coach?

Fold the program, re-mark Shields-Watkins field into a men's soccer pitch, and start recruiting student athletes from all over South America. Maybe even the occasional player from Europe, Asia or even the middle east. Makes Tennessee soccer a global icon.

Beats the Hell out of Kiffin ever sitting foot on campus ever again. And I still loath soccer.

He should go contact and hire Les Miles

Will probably actually contact. Greg Schiano & Norvell. Possibly Taggart too but I dont think he goes with a power 5 coach right now .

Where did I say we were out of options? How about you take a course in reading comprehension before making a snotty comment?

What I did say was that there are a lot of schools competing for a new coach. Some news outlets claim (which I don't believe) that UT made an offer. So, we're entering a phase where schools will be hustling each other and UT risks being left at the altar.

Do I think UF will land a major coach? Yes. Texas A&M? Yes. UT? Maybe ... but I think it may be later rather than sooner.

So, IF the best prospects are taken .. who is the fall back choice? That was my question.

Good luck graduating from high school.

Kiffin does hate Saban with an extreme passion...whoever is hired better be upto that task with as much inspiration as Lane no doubt!
