To all the negagrudes and mullinites who say we have no credible evidence that JG is the man, please feel free to show me your "credible evidence" that someone else has been considered, interviewed, etc...I'll wait...

We try to go every other year. We’ll plan to take the whole clan next year. The hubby likes the challenge of doing all 4 parks in one day.... Start at 7:00 am and end at 2:00 in the morning. You almost can’t do that anymore with the way they do the fast passes now. And that’s good by me - was a really long day but fun.

Some, Hubbs for instance, are likely being fed bad info by (normally) reliable sources. I'm not going to call this a smokescreen, but they are likely reporting in good faith on what they are hearing. Just that their info is out of date or incorrect.

Others, Hyams as a primary example, are going all out to be complete and utter douchebags to VN as a whole. And need to be run out of town for their actions. However, it's a distinct possibility Hyams is getting bad info for a reason as a complete misdirection. He's like the Howard Stern of UT Sports. You listen because you believe him. Or you listen because you hate him and want to hear what nonsense he says next. I spoke the other day about controlling leaks and how Currie and company can use that to their advantage during the phase we are in. They probably know who talks to Hyams in the AD and can use that to their advantage.

The national level guys are probably relying on the local level guys for info. Hence, the bad info they are getting and putting out is echoes with their own twist.

Those reporting from other team's camps are probably under the same spell as the talking head I heard the other day. "Don't think it'll happen because I don't want it to happen." Complete downplay of anything Gruden related because they know just how powerful that name is and the brand he brings with him.

agree with all of this, and would just add, agents and their representatives will "give" info out to various local news outlets....as misdirection, and/or out of a need to maybe motivate certain programs to hopefully act to their, or their clients', benefit.

put this out about so and so here at program a, so program b will start to feel a sense of urgency. i believe that's definitely happening with Chip Kelly and FL/UCLA.

same with Frost and FL /Nebraska...or Mullen with aTm/TN....or Malzahn with Aub/ARK........

just moving chess pieces....

Look, I know I may not be able to bring a ton of info to you guys but I will pass along and debunk anything I can.

I made a special trip down there when I started hearing this news and spoke to more than a few people that would know on the matter. If they say it’s not true, then it’s not true. They’ve never kept anything from me in the past that could potentially put their job at risk so I don’t see why they would start now.

Are you guys sure the Club isn’t getting confused with Honors?

Jake, you always seem vaguely pro-Gruden to TN in this thread, but pretty dismissive of the idea in other threads.

Where do you stand on the question? Do you think he comes to coach the Volunteers? (short version)

Yup just like pj fleck’s agent floating his name and now guess who got an extension through 2023 today?? Yup, PJ Fleck.. whose Minnesota team is 4-6.

IMO, this is the epitome of all that’s wrong in college sports.
