Assuming our “Boosters” have the level of control some would lead you to believe, it is possible that all could be aligned on a decision, but then still fighting for control, access and influence after the deal is done. Think of it this way:

- Haslams tight with Sexton. Butch buyout negotiated with promise Sexton clients will be considered
- Haslams on board with other Boosters for full court press on Gruden, with condition that Currie go thru motions on Sexton clients
- Gruden is signed, but Currie never speaks to any Sexton clients before signing
- Haslams feel double crossed and start attacking Currie and demanding he at least speak with a couple Sexton clients. Currie refuses
- other Boosters defend Currie and tell Haslams to stand down
- WWIII erupts among Boosters fighting for influence over Currie

Is it an established fact that Haslam is tight with Sexton?

I am curious if the Beaver respects any of our local media folks. Some of the heavy hitter locals do nothing but poor mouth UT Athletics. Marginalize it to death and seem to think we should be happy to go to a bowl game.

I hope we land Gruden, and I hope the fallout from the hire is enough to send some folks packing. Starting with Hyams and Adams.

I respect many of them but several need to be dressed down.
