I really don't know why Dems are circling the wagons around Franken. It's a solid D seat. Why risk political capital on a literal clown like him.

He's going to call us both stupid, but I didn't really get it either. Unless, of course, he thinks Al should go, which I doubt. He is not a conservative, not a Trump supporter, and not religious. He is an old white man and a Jew however, so Dink's hatred may come from that.

Sexual assault is bigger than politics, so it's not as though the Dems are going to go after allegations on Moore whilst ignoring photographic evidence of Franken.

It's about sexual assault and being held accountable for it while being an elected official.

It was a clarifying question to an extremely vague post. If Dems are rising above politics to defend Franken like you suggest, what are they actually defending here? A US Senator and his right to harass a woman in her sleep?

Because I SPECIFICALLY asked why Dems are defending Franken. By you saying that it's bigger than politics, it suggests that they aren't defending him simply because he's a D, that it's bigger than that. Which begs the question, why then?

They are going after him, dude. They're spearheading the investigation.

Meanwhile, the GOP is doing zilch about Moore.

What is there to be investigated? The photo cannot be refuted and the dressing room will be a he-said she-said. It's all a ruse to pretend like they're doing something, when we all know nothing will happen. And besides, those calling for an investigation into that are as bi-partisan as those calling for Moore to step down. The difference being that they have no authority to act on Moore. He won the primary and can run. They can't conduct an investigation, they can't keep him from running, they really can't do anything. I certainly wouldn't say the GOP is defending Moore.
