I'm trying to call him out. He hasn't responded. He's all over the place.

Is WNML considered "State-run media" as it's been called on here?

Yes. he is acting like Swain now.
I'm not sure they are exactly "State run media", but I believe the are more connected to the AD than others. They are the Flagship station for UT.

Any truth to the DNS sports rumor of Mullen taking the job?

Unless he lied to his team, he told them to not pay attention to coaching rumors, he's not going any where and he will be their coach at MSU next year. Now Sexton on the other hand, it would not surprise me if he's floating his name out there trying to get a raise. It also would not surprise me if he's paying media who say the M name a few dollars for their effort every time the name is mentioned.

He's not backtracking. Just saying no way UT would wait till championship weekend to announce because it would get buried because of the games.

I don't believe this at all. Everyone says "no way" he coaches college. If we get him the talking heads WILL HAVE TO TALK about it on every sports channel broadcasting just because it's that big.

If we do have him, I would announce before Vandy with all the visits scheduled this weekend.

ld be surprised if Gruden came. I mean he hasn't coached a single college game in his life and is a .500 head coach. He enjoys the glory of his ego being stroked and wouldn't risk his ego by coming and failing. Gruden is a media junkie who loves to talk x and o, but he would risk his name and ego by leaving espn and actually coach..just my two cents

You could set a watch to someone coming in here once a day to say this exact thing. Kind of weird.

Same station as Hyams. I will say he hasn't been prone to hyperbole when I listened to him regularly a couple of years ago.

He's going to the Virgin Islands on 10 December. Between now and then, he's doing nothing but 100% focus on finding us a new head football coach.

He was also scheduled to go to the Bahamas this week with the B Ball team for the Battle of Atlantis tournament. If he does then Gruden is hired and Currie is vacationing!

Soon!

Either come out and say im not interested or come out and say you are in some variation.

I’m no longer interested in he said she I like that Ole Rocky top gotta lot of respect for them but.... stuff.

Sorry, I just can't take Will West's reporting on Gruden seriously.

Jimmy Hyams has assured us consistently on behalf of WNML that all talk of Gruden to UT is bullspit. West is trolling us.

This is a Christmas present from AD and Gruden. The ultimate trolling of Jimmy Hyams.

So you're saying what, exactly? That the Haslams are setting things up for Gruden to coach the Browns next year?

Beaver is following HearForGrumors on Twitter. Has this been posted yet?

Edit: He's also following Houston Kress.

From VQ...

“I have been as skeptical as anyone about Gruden coaching in college, and I still will be surprised if this actually happens. But I posted over a week ago that I know first-hand that he bought a house in Knoxville. And yesterday I learned from a reliable source that he has applied for membership in a popular country club in Knoxville. Maybe he just plans to live there and not coach in Knoxville, but I have gone from giving this less than 1% probability to about 40%. If he is moving to Knoxville, that likely means he is not planning to coach in the NFL next year.”
