If there was another coaching option that our boosters and AD was interested in I think we all would know about it by now. I.E. interviews, plane flights, sightings else where. None of that has come up, tells me we have our guy and waiting to announce after Candy to respect current coaches. I don't have sources or leads. Just going with what it looks like. I'm 100% positive Volnation would know if our AD was talking with other coaches. Hell we already confirmed hes been in a meeting with Chucky. I'm enjoying the Grumors and cant wait for the announcement.

His name alone will pull recruits from all over the country. In regards to recruits being at vandy..... I think it would depend on who they are. A bunch of 2 &3 stars wouldn't sway anyone to make an early announcement.

I just had an awesome dream. In the dream, I was casually watching TV, waiting on some big national broadcast that everyone watches like the NFL Draft or something. Don’t know which since it was a dream. Right before a big national TV broadcast, Tennessee ran an extended commercial show (about 5 minutes) announcing GRUDEN as our next Head Coach with him talking about his excitement to get started!! It then let each new assistant coach introduce themselves with footage of them coaching.

I was in shock and going crazy! It was a huge media splash where even non-Vols fans thought it was incredible. The perception nationally was “WOW! Tennessee has arrived and they just pulled off one of the sickest coaching announcements in history.”

Unless there is a disgruntled employee that doesn't give a damn anymore, the power of your job being threatened is a very powerful thing. Not many people out there willing to "risk it all" for e-cred.

Interesting... I popped into the non gruden thread and a certain mod took a shot at this thread.
