Did you know only 11 coaches are above .500 vs ranked teams. Paterson is ahead of.......Brian Kelly, DABO Sweeney, and even Chris Petersen. Patterson is now 5th, right behind Jimbo Fisher and Nick Saban who are 4th and 3rd.

I have plenty of faith in Curry. At the end of the day, Tennessee has the resources that are second to none. Any competent coach that can develop talent and not make consecutive in game coaching blunders will succeed here.

That’s pretty much the best case scenario for Gruden, Mullen, Frost maybe, and a few others.

The only reason gruden makes sense here is because he’s demanding a big budget for assistants and recruits would flock here to play for him. The excitement his hire would generate in recruiting and coaching hires are the only pro’s of hiring him. There has not been one single argument for his hire that has to do with on the field.

However, getting those top assistants and recruits would be worth it because if he didn’t work out, we’d still have tons of talent for next coach. However, it’s foolish to say that Gruden equals natty’s when people can’t even say why he would be a great hire when it comes to gameday.

Exactly. I’d take Patterson and be very happy. Should’ve hired him in 2008.

Agreed, honestly if the Big 12 commissioner had come out and said TCU was the conference champ then they would've been, no doubt in my mind.

They got royaly screwed that year

Been stated before, but even if FL gets him, it may not be Meyer 2.0. His offense isn't the new fangled thing it was back in 2010. Also when did Oregon lose? When they got out muscled by teams like Stanford. That is why I am 100 percent in agreement w Coach Mathews...we need a return to the physical style of football we had pre-Dooley. Not sure who delivers that. But that is what we should be pursuing.

Being at TCU some down time will happen.

Patterson is rated as the 9th best coach in college football.

He has had more 10 win or better seasons than he hasn't.
