WIth rumors on Chip Kelly

While he’s good for 9-10 wins almost every year, he’s failed to capitalize and get in the playoff. He literally finds a way to not make the playoff every single year.

In 2014 they went into the final week ranked in the top four.
They beat Iowa State 55-3 and dropped out due to the Urban Factor. The bozo committee referenced "strength of schedule" which somehow was good enough to have them up there the week before. i.e. They got ripped.

They dropped out because they didn’t win their conference and the Big 12 AD’s, including TCU’s, allowed the conference to name cochampions instead of one outright champ which was rightfully TCU. However, he still dropped an inexcusable loss that year.

Funny how your girl crush for Chip Kelly ended all of a sudden. Next you will change from Gruden to Mike Bobo

I’m still all for Chip Kelly including Patterson.

Ya know, coaches that aren’t overrated like your love for Mullen and Kiffin.

It’s amazing how you used context to defend Kelly against his haters yet refuse to use it for anyone else. Your Football acumen is amazing bruh

Truth hurts bro.

Just because you’d rather settle for mediocrity, doesn’t mean the rest of us do.

No one is settling for mediocrity. Biggest thing we need in the next coach is a clear track record of player development and competent gameday coaching. There is quite a few coaches out there that are realistic hires that check both boxes.

Chip Kelly rumor tonight is with Florida, looks like Florida speed will Be coming back he’s hired, I now think Tennessee should hire a defensive minded coach to counter Florida, maybe a Patterson will work, or do you want a toe to toe type scoring coach?

Go get Scott!!!

Now he's gonna talk to UCLA before making a decision..I'm guessing best offer wins unless he takes the easier conference route which is definitely a possibility.

All I see is one P5 conference title?

More than Butch, Mullen, Frost, Campbell, Gruden and most other candidates listed for this job, the exceptions being Kelly, Franklin and Fisher

Now, you name a better candidate than Patterson since you clearly don't like him

You better hope & pray Currie hires a proven HC that’s won at a high level.

We aren’t in the position to fart around with this hire possibly setting our program back even further.

We deserve to be National Title Contenders again. Not settling for meaningless bowl games every year.

They should've been in the year they won a share of the Big 12, can't blame him cause the Big 12 commissioner tried to be cute and hoped two of his teams would get in.

That backfired bad on that guy

If Florida offered 6.5mil UCLA would have to offer 9mil or so to compare due to taxes and such. That’s a lot to offer him when you are paying 12 mil to the coach you just fired.

How bad do they want him

49ers are paying Kelly $12 million over the next 2 years, so that will offset a lot of the upfront money.

TCU’s AD, along with others, allowed that to happen. They could have fought that decision from commissioner the minute they found out he was entertaining it.

When you hear the official announcement as to who we actually hire. TRUST me you will be praying to get Patterson. The odds are that we will hire someone much worse than Patterson Another Dooley type coach is more likely to be hired than not

I hope that’s not the case, I think they will make every effort to hire a proven experienced money name coach. However, this university drags it out and ends up hiring an unproven up and comer no name coach they hope will blossom and I’m overnight a boomer sooner. Not that anyone here cares, just speaking for myself.
