Yep and I feel a lot of things but sorry for them isn’t one of them.

Feel sorry for the fans though.

No kidding. We've been fed this swill for a decade. Holly Warlick is probably grateful, though. Doubt Currie will have the stomach to fire her this year.

All speculation. Nobody knew anything about the baseball hire either. Stop getting your panties in a wad. Give the man a chance and stop crucifying the man until he gives you a REAL REASON to do so. Just because he doesn't come me out and tell us everything about his day doesn't mean that he's not working.

Damn, seems like it's all doom and gloom if you don't know every little detail. And how do y'all know there isn't any activity? Just because some reporter says there isn't?

Let the man work

Did you just refer to Ron as gloom and doom? 😂🤣😂🤣

There have been coaches whose reps have said they're not interested in the job. And there is concern that the Grumors are driving the market up. The perception is that UT is going to pay top dollar for a coach, and agents are going to leverage some of this false info for favorable terms. It's setting up to be a more challenging search than anticipated.

You think the Dodd CBS article had anything to do with the AD and addressing this very thing?

Wouldn’t you want to kill this if you’re UTAD though? By allowing it to continue you’re setting up the fan base to be angry even if you make a greet hire- such as Mullen.

Exactly! The rumors are coming from the same places in 2012, yet Gruden thought it was necessary to have his agent make a statement that Gruden is not a candidate and is not interested in the position at Tennessee. That same statement has not been made at this point in time, which makes me believe there is a reason why… He has legit interest in the position.

No.

But it's like if people don't know what way the man wipes his ass, then he's going to fail and hire some Google coach. Let the man do his job. Period.

When he makes the hire, if you don't agree then raise hell.

I'm thinking he may be a damn good poker player. Cause nobody knows what cards he's holding

Currie said, don’t believe it if you don’t hear it out of my mouth.

How is that hard to understand? Nobody knows **** but they sure don’t mind making it up.

I was pointing out I think he's already finished the job.

He is actually saying the man's work is done is why it appears he is not working.

Sure. I don't mean to offend anyone. People have a right to believe whatever they believe.

Oh, of course.
Sorry, I had brought it up earlier because Jimmy Hyams had mentioned about the two coaches. But I pretty much just got him crucified lol.
Along with myself to a much smaller degree.
I know it's Jimmy but I still felt bad. Poor guy didn't do anything. He literally just repeated what he was told, it wasn't his comment. I was just thanking you for discussing it without being upset with a reporter.

Maybe I misinterpreted the post. But he made it sound like others were saying Currie is being "lazy".

If so, I apologize Ron. I'm just tired of people in the media and fans bashing the man when he has done nothing but do his job to this point. The baseball hire was handled really well. People were all over the place and he did it quietly and made a really good hire, I think.

So once again, didn't mean to sound combative, my apologies Ron

I feel like I'm walking on eggshells myself. Jimmy often gets info from Raja Jubran, who uses him to take certain info mainstream. If it comes straight from Raja, it's generally reliable.

I had been behind another candidate for AD, guy from the Panthers. But I like how Currie has handled things *so far.
Like the baseball hire, mending of fences and the no leaks policy. Of course this hire will be his make or break but so far, so good.

Have I missed something? What are Haslam and the boosters blocking?

I've been told that Haslam has been a road block in the past. Not sure if thats the case this time. I know there's been some dysfunction within the super boosters. I know Currie was Haslam pick and he snuck him in the back door without involving some other boosters. My point is if Currie bucks some of those boosters then he can't play he "I hired who you wanted me to hire card". I was just keying off what you said that Currie does it his way. You used the word independent, I think.

Serious question. Does Raja Jubran give two craps about football?

I bet Currie felt pretty uncomfortable with that guy following him around yelling at him. I know I felt uncomfortable watching it. It wouldn't have been so bad if the guy had just said it a couple of times, but homeboy was on a mission and would not be deterred.

Bass, come clean...was that you?

Currie said this coaching search would be his only focus until it was done.

According to Hubbs our AD hasn’t been doing much coach searching the last few days. In fact, Hubbs said it has been “very very quiet” around the offices. Currently Curries planning a trip to the Bahamas next week with his family.

So little to share in fact that Hubbs coaching search update today included info about many schools not named Tennessee. He later said his update on UT was “John Currie is in Knoxville.”

Meanwhile our biggest division rival is hiring Chip Kelly.

Does that sound like a man doing everything he can to find a coach for this great university? Or an AD who’s already filled the position?

Gets it
