The Holmgren interview leads me to believe, at the very least, he's still considering the position.

Not confident he'll end up here at this point, though.

We have pretty much decided that Gruden isn’t coming based on the crash we had after it was revealed he wasn’t at Calhouns.

No, I don't care about that Calhoun's stuff. I've been skeptical of ATL Vol out of my natural skepticism - but his posts seem to indicate Gruden hasn't signed anything (he still could) and we have a good Plan B in place.

Everything I've heard from the few people I talk to also suggest nothing has been signed.

I would have figured he would've taken the job by now if he wanted it. We have roughly a week to interview the rest of our candidates and allow whomever we pick to get a staff together to recruit.

Not to Nassau. Caribbean countries take about 2 minutes for peons to pass through customs. John Currie probably flashes his passport and walks through.

You clear US customs in the Bahamas for the return so it is just like a domestic flight once you come back, so it is really quick and easy.

Why does Currie need to give Gruden to noon, when he already has him signed?

Maybe he is. I can see both sides of this argument if in fact he is signed. Currie wanting to announce now vs Gruden wanting to announce at after Vandy.

I’ve found customs to be pretty easy in the Caribbean. They know you’re there to soak up some sun and spend some money. It’s coming back into the US which sucks.

This. I've been questioned about my nationality. A white male with a slight country accent in Tennessee gear. Yeah I'm a Russian spy. smh.

I'm confident in plan B.

Atlanta Vol has been confirmed to be legit with a situation with OGs daughter and another poster here went to the game last night with tickets provided from ATL. His status should have zero skepticism at this point.

I take it as we have offered, he hasn't said no but we have a deadline and he's going to use that time to see what his staff could look like.

That may be true, but I am thinking it is beyond normal "staff" issues, for the most part. I am thinking that he would want to counter Alabama's supporting staff, not just coaches.

He would also want way more of a free reign than most coaches have. What this means, I am not sure, but I just think big-time coaches don't want to feel like the AD is constantly looking over their shoulder, I guess. Someone else on here might have a better idea than me on what that would look like.

I was talking about coming back. Took two hours the last time in Atlanta for me.

That sucks. I just got back from Jamaica. At the Orlando International Airport they have the passport scanner kiosks. Process took about 5 minutes. It was awesome.

We just got back from Cozumel and it was much easier through Dallas. Still took a good 30 min. Also, we had to go through security again and recheck our bag.

What the hell is up with that? Happened to us as well. We got our bags off the baggage claim, then had to hand them over again about two minutes later.
