Low is getting no scoops, so he's trying to make up for it by saying controversial stuff. Like "UT fans are mean and deserve a bad coach" or "We should get Kiffin back".

Currie won’t go to the Bahamas IMO. He knows how important his job is right now. Babysitting our sleepy basketball coach on their vacation tourney isn’t of importance right now. The bell cow of “all our ATHLETIC programs” is in need.

If he goes to the Bahamas, I'll be convinced his work is done. If he's made a hire, what pressing needs will he have back at the office. Paperwork will be performed by the legal team. Preparations will be done by the logistics people. Not much to be done in supporting the current regime. If he makes the trip, he deserves a little vacation because he's just reeled in the big whale.

Going to the Bahamas is a day trip. It's like flying to Miami. He can fly there and back in the same day if he's using UT's plane.

Did you all hear the rumor that some big wigs flew to west Tennessee to check out a plane that will be solely used for the football program? Supposedly part of the Gruden deal.

I think Currie would be wise to kick the tires on Doug Marrone. A few have mentioned he has interest. Would be a really good hire IMO.

At this point, if we are not hiring Gruden or Frost, then just go hire David Cutcliffe. At least we know he can coach. He would instantly be the second best coach in the conference. We may not win a national title, but, he would get us winning 10-11 games in a hurry and that would be prime for someone to take over when he eventually retired. All the former players would be on board with that also. Who knows, maybe he can convince Tee to come back home and be head coach in waiting. But Cutcliffe is a safe hire and I would hire him all day over Norvell or someone like that

Hubbs on Currie going to Bahamas...

I was surprised this didn't get more play after the war room on Friday where we mentioned it as a possibility.

Now if he goes Tuesday night or Wednesday AM and comes back Thanksgiving afternoon, which is what I think would be the likely scenario then He's probably not missing anything.

Again, not sure how many face to face interviews you do before the end of a regular season. Obviously, you can talk to Mullen Friday morning.

However, why do you go to Chicago last Wednesday if you aren't talking to someone face to face.

He never said he was going for the week. He said he hopes to get to go there for a day or two. Never said it as a guarantee and certainly never said all week.

We are still working on the status of official visits this weekend. I will be surprised if there's a bunch of visitors.

He will be 64 next football season and is 9-14 the last two years.

That's why if I was AD, I probably would not mingle with the commonfolk during times like these. But kudos to him for doing it tho.

I was having a problem on my Android and switched from the Samsung internet to Chrome and it works fine again. Not sure if it will work for you.

I really hope Currie is using those big 12 connections to get in touch with Matt Campbell. My faith in Tennessee football will be fully restored if we get him.
