I disagree completely with those who say that Gruden looks at this team and wouldn't see the opportunity.

We look like ****, but a blind man can see the potential here. All of our QBs and receivers can be very good to great. Trey Smith is still considered one of the best young lineman in the country. We have, what I feel like, is the best stable of running backs at UT in a decade. On defense, we are thin at a couple of places and we need to work on some gaps, but I feel like if the offense was clicking, the defense would look a lot better.

I can't imagine that any coach wouldn't see the potential here.

I will be lambasted for this, but flame away.

Tee was successful because he was handed a primed, well-oiled machine when he walked in. Let's be honest, Peyton cured the Majors hangover (literally) and built a team for the ages. Tee just reaped the benefits. I have contested it before and will do it again, without Al Wilson, Jeff Hall, Travis Henry and sheer luck, we don't win the first BCS championship.

Get your flamethrowers out.....

By the way, I don't understand the slobbering over his services as a coach. There are much better recruiters, OCs, and QBCs. VFL or not, we don't need 15 Vols roaming the sidelines, we already have 85 on scholarship.

If that went over your head, don't bother responding.

I see what you are saying but my argument is

1. Which better recruiter/OC are you thinking of? I can think of better recruiters and I can think of better OC's. But combined? Not many

And 2. Would they come here or try to be hc's somewhere?

I'm curious to know about the experience of others that AV helped out with tix tonight.

FacelessArya, who joined Oct. 2017, was sent tix by AV, and after going thru a huge ordeal with UPS, had a fairy tale ending. This was all during turmoil of the gruden thread.
I know what you are doing with this post and you are a ****ing clown for doing so. Go back and read freaks post about this ****, then get the **** out.

What? GTFOH!

What's wrong with it? If Gruden is scared to take the team as it is and isn't up for the challenge like we all think he is, then we don't need the guy. If you listen to Clay Travis, he would say that's mosquito d*ck thinking. Tennessee needs to make a helicopter d*ck hire. I stand by what I said

this. They weren’t his personal seats. When we talked last night about the ups mix up, he said he was going to call some people. Then he said the ad had us covered. Boy, did they ever.

I just have to share what this night was like.

We get there, pick up up the tickets and go through the gate, and there’s greeters putting arm bands on us. I look at my husband, all bewildered and he says, “whoa”. We’ve never been to a ut football game and needed arm bands.

They usher us to the elevators and we step out to this awesome lobby. My girls were like, “whoa”. There’s a calhoun’s booth set up slicing off brisket. There’s a panini booth in the other corner. Tv’s everywhere with tables and chairs. It looks like a swanky club and i guarantee our faces looked like we didn’t belong. There were even greeters in the bathroom!

We get to our seats and they are perfect, section f, right on the 50 yard line. My girls faces when they saw the enormity of neyland is something i’ll never forget. The jets flying over, the band, they were amazed by everything.

Atlantavol, my girls said to tell you “thank you”. They said they had the best time ever and can’t wait to go back. My husband and i can’t thank you enough.

Rain or no rain, this was a night to remember.

atl i got first shot at this experience next if it happens to come available. My wife and six yr old would love it. So would my brother in law who is a army vet...😉

Saban didn't have SQUAT to work with when he got to tuscaloser.

That was TOTAL BS perpetrated by the Tide insiders to lower expectations of the idiot fan base, just like UGA did when Smart took over. They had a LOT of talent, far more than the Vols have had most of the last 10 years.
QB's: John Parker Wilson and Greg McElroy
RB's: Roy Upchurch, Glen Coffee, Ali Sharif

And a host of others that made NFL rosters including Justin Britt, Antoine Caldwell, William Vlachos, Mike Johnson, Wallace Gilberry, Brandon Deaderick, Lorenzo Washington, Josh Chapman, Rolando McClain, Simeon Castille, Kareem Jackson, Cory Reamer, Marquis Johnson, Justin Woodall, Javier Arenas and Rashad Johnson.

The only remotely true statement above is the one about Trey Smith
