Who does that article pressure, or relieve pressure on, but saying that UT has concerns about gruden? If you believe he gave us the final “no” then it relieves pressure on UT by support the “we didn’t want him anyway” narrative. It says UT has the upper hand because THEY made the call.

I don’t buy that. The reason being it’s a straw man argument. You don’t go as far as you’ve gone if you have those concerns. You just don’t.

The timing of that article, which said nothing of substance.

If that came from Gruden’s side, it was to apply pressure to UT to get them to budge on a final piece of the negotiations.

Either way.. the article looked sloppy. It was weird. And it was so clearly a leak I think it was too strong of a move by either side.

Don’t really have a conclusion about what it means overall. Just my read on the circumstances. I do believe it means the Gruden stuff isn’t dead. I don’t buy the AD putting that out as a means of showing they have the upper hand.
