If you're willing to throw out as much money as possible that's over 10 mil, why not go after the 2nd best coach in CFB?

Aside from who it hires as next head coach (don’t believe it is dead w/ you-know-who), the most important person @Vol_Football can hire for its future is in @Neyland_Stadium tonight: @AustinThomasLSU #Vols need to #BringHimHome

Not dead!!!!

This Austin Thomas has been brought up before. I don’t quite understand his role with LSU.

Brice knows how this ends, too. He has a connection who is deep in this, and he knows Gruden has already signed. Austin Thomas is who was mentioned that Gruden wanted on his staff to do the same thing he’s doing at LSU. Brice is dropping a hint for when it happens, and Thomas is on the staff, so that it shows Brice knew.

Graduated from Lipscomb in 2008 from Franklin Tennessee.

This is from LSU official athletic site in his bio:

The first General Manager in the history of the Southeastern Conference and one of two in the nation, Thomas leads the way in the oversight and management of the entire LSU Football program. One of the top personnel managers in all of college football, Thomas works closely with NFL personnel to maximize the opportunity for LSU student-athletes as the next level.

Whoever leaked to CBS for that article yesterday overplayed their hand.

Director of football operations or recruiting. Something like that. He’s the reason LSU got Jacoby Stevens and some other talented TN kids. He would help strengthen putting up walls around this state and helping prevent elite TN talent from going somewhere else.

Interesting. There has to be a lot more to it then that. His pretty young, must be a baller.

?? I think I made that post after that game was over. I still would take Morris over Norvell.

That’s just me though. I know you’re a Norvell fan. You were one of the first to bring him up on the board way back before we lost a game this year. He just doesn’t check a lot of boxes for me.

Evaluating and communicating with recruits and stuff a lot to I think. They run the whole ship while the coach runs the team and his immediate staff. I would love a good explanation
