Mullen is the equivalent to a Mazda miata in a sports car search. Very solid but not a Lamborghini or even a Corvette.

I've got an analogy for you. Him being in the SEC at Mississippi State is like him driving well enough to qualify in NASCAR every year with a Maxima. Imagine how he could do if they actually gave him the keys to a Ferrari.

Some of you are hilarious on the Mullen hate. MSU just played their guts out against Bama and nearly pulled it off with far less talent. Now they are on the road in bad weather against a physical team and because they fell behind in the first quarter, Mullen's not good enough. Get a grip. They proved they are well coached team by responding to the punch.

Would still take Frost over Mullen IMO. Just watched the highlights of the first half and Frost drew up some really creative redzone plays that worked for TDs. 31-13 UCF now.

Mullen might have more experience and I know we haven’t seen Mullen’s true ceiling yet, but I still think Frost is a future superstar and I’d love to get him.

Here's what I think is the best selling point for Mullen: he's the only candidate on the board that, if we hire him, will simultaneously have better players to work with while also facing lesser competition on a week to week basis.

There are plenty of other reasons in addition but that really stands out to me.

Not the same thing and you know it. Butch managed an 8 win regular season with far more talent than MSU has. He barely played a RB you love that is lighting up the NFL.

Mullen wins today and he has the same 8 wins with a game to go. He is not the same as Butch unless you believe UT is equal to MSU as a roster, university, fan base, facilities, etc.

Having a hard time finding a current stat but he’s something like 14-6 against the SEC East.

Not sure I agree with the lesser competition considering we play Bama every year and with GA looking much better. Particularly years like this year and next when LSU and AU are on schedule. Plus we usually play 1 tough OOC every year.

Do agree with easier recruiting a much partner budget.
