Who knows what he could do with better coaching and another year under his belt. Not that I don’t think Hoke is a good DL coach.

I disagree. I just don’t think he has the quickness to play the position he has been asked to play. That and he just needs more experience. I could be wrong.

I think the truth is that a guy like Swain gets every single rumor DM'd to him because he's a media face in Knoxville. And also as a former player, he heard everything every single former player hears.

He's saying he knows for a fact Gruden told someone "no" and has told other people "yes". And I think that's probably close to the truth.

I think extrapolates things too. He's hearing Currie is contacting former Vols to get their opinions (which I think is brilliant btw) on who the next coach should be. He takes that as Gruden said no.

Would explain the injuries too. Never seen anything like it. Alabama had half as many as us and they're writing articles about how injuries have finally caught up with the tide. Difference is we've done this 3 years in a row

He's been a bust. He might turn it around but odds are he won't. Outside of that pick six last year against Missouri, he's done nothing. He's gotten a lot of snaps but 9 times out of 10 he has no affect on the play other than a negative one.

I consider any bust to be a waste of a scholarship. If he never makes a positive impact in his time here how is that not a waste?

I think the last part of your post in an assumption. I went through some of his replies and he stated he knows one person Gruden has told he's not taking the job.

There are a lot of conflicting rumors out right now. It's not a done deal like some people want you to believe. It's just not.

I think the hard thing about all is that 'moving on' and keeping a lid on things until the season is over are going to look similar from our perspective.

I think the only thing we know to be relatively certain is that Currie wants Gruden. Still rolling with Brice's and Ramey's report on that.

I wonder his his one source is? Could it be Blackburn? Is it a high level booster? Is his information current? I just don't have faith in anyone right now.

Yes he does. Espn is fighting to keep mnf and the ratings up. Gruden is a big draw... “either keep my salary or I’m going to TN” simple.

They have some of the lowest ratings with him. They could get those without him.
