Would have to be. Still not a big enough hire to let all of this smoke from Gruden continue to fester. Saban would be the only one from the SEC who you could use a Gruden smokescreen for. Please don’t let it be Sumlin.

Besides Mullen, that would be the only realistic choice. I would riot if we hired Sumlin.

It's when we start hearing pretty good names from reliable sources that we should probably accept that the Gruden deal is dead.

Lmao not at all. I don’t want sumlin to be our coach but he’s clearly better than butch. Dude is 50-25 in the SEC west and had a Heisman Trophy winner.

If we hire Mullen. (Everyone knows he’s my 1A with Patterson) and he brings Todd Grantham (3-4 Defense) i think our returning Defense is really suited to run a 3-4:

NT- Khalil, Alexis johnson, Maurice Smith,

DE- Butler, Tuttle, Picou, deandre johnson

OLB/Pass rusher- Taylor, Kongbo, Austin smith, ignot (MLB)?

MLB- DK, Bituli,Shannon Reid

He's awful. He's had one good season with a once in a decade type talent at QB. Don't really understand why anybody would want him.

I don't find it that unbelievable. The season is probably shot, but I'm sure the higher ups don't want to lose to Vandy (again). Plus, there's the 8 loss thing. I could see them discussing the idea of Gruden coaching the last game if they thought it would improve our chances of winning.

As for babyvol, I don't know why he would troll. I'm pretty sure it's known who he really is.

Vandy will be coached by Hoke. Not worth discussing.

Full disclosure I may be speaking on baby Vol too soon. This new insiders run together for me. I toss almost all of them once they say something that doesn’t pass the smell test. Basing my Gruden hope pretty much entirely on other stuff outside of message board insiders.

Why would Bob Stoops leave OU only to coach at Tennessee? Just doesn't make any sense.

Why put Gruden in that situation? It's not his team, but he would own that loss. Horrible way to start out your career at Tennessee.

I'm sure they don't want to see us lose to Vandy, but bringing in Gruden last minute to coach that game isn't going to help.

I don't think Gruden would want to do that, just don't think it's so unbelievable that it could've been brought up by UT and discussed.
