Yeah, he said been giving tickets out like candy to those less fortunate. Really like his generous heart. If we had more like him who have been extremely successful in this country, we would be much better off.

Anyone think there’s a reason he wants people at the game who aren’t fortunate enough to be able to go to games, other than the experience? Maybe there’s going to be some extracurricular activity tonight?

EDIT: Guys, I knew she was from here just not specifically Morristown. That's Vol country and where Sanders is from (among others). I find that connection important. Some E. TN counties and towns are ambivalent unless the Vols are good but Morristown is always 100 percent Vol country.

It doesn't change your point much, but I'm pretty sure she's from the Dandridge/Chestnut Hill area and went to JCHS.

LWS confirmed that he was in East TN the week of the So Miss game. Supposedly this was predicted by Hutch 7. If it was him that said it would have then that gives credence to Hutch and the things he has said.

Gruden showed up on campus this year for a game which has never happened.

The announcement isn’t coming until 11/26 at the earliest imo. No matter who we target and ultimately hire. I think it will be Gruden on 11/28. Until then we will get misdirection and denials. Also Gruden gave the “sensitive to coaches doing their job” comment. No hire til after the season is over.

I believe that Gruden bought that house. Nobody even knew that house was on the market and then we hear he bought it. Hank brought that here before I saw it anywhere. Days before it spread as I recall.

If you believe the report by 247 then he did that interview and brought up UT after hearing our pitch. He asked to not be asked about coaching vacancies and then brings up how much he loves rocky top.

Espn is going to have to cut his pay.

He said on Eisen show that his contract is not guaranteed. You know what is? A coaching contract.

He has a huge ego and college coaches are rock stars. In the NFL, the players are the stars.

His wife is from here and his son goes to school here.

He’s been around this program more in the past 5 years than ever before.

Timing is right for him this time.

UT knows it has to go big this time. $340m renovation on deck and it’s not getting done with a mosquito hire.

Is Hyams still saying we haven't even talked to him? He and the NFL guy seem to be the only ones left who haven't conceded that there's smoke.

Edit: I'm going to say if we have him, he'll be announced Monday. It will be good for recruiting and I see no reason to stall.

Yes. This stuff is much too fast paced for Jimmy.

I gave the example of a race car driver who thinks he’s winning the race because he sees the other cars in his rear view but doesn’t realize he’s not on the lead lap.

I know it keeps being said more than likely nothing until after the Vandy game. Could you imagine the sendout the Seniors would get if they announced Gruden on Monday and he made a huge to-do about supporting the team for the final game? They'd have to open up the Thompson Boling, the Coliseum, and Tennessee Theatre for overflow fans

No way he can coach in the SEC right now. Even at a school going on probation. I think his ceiling for next season is Oregon state and that’s an extreme long shot I think. He needs to go to a Cinci type school and save us some $$$.

Coach Gruden says pack the stadium.....Vol fans would pack the stadium.

Not gonna happen but that would be awesome.

I think he'd be a good coach for them in their situation,
but his rep has taken a major hit.

Just wonder how small the coaching community is and how toxic Butch is with all the rumors of misconduct .
I don't necessarily believe all the rumors either.

If he hadn’t been in the same conference I’d agree. Just too close to them. They’ve been making fun of him for a few years and we got flat spanked down there in 2014. Couldn’t sell it to the fan base.

I would bet it all just looks like rumors to people outside of Knoxville if they’ve even heard of them.

Yeah, our conference sees him as a doofy guy who can't gameday coach. No way the fans get behind that.
