I apologize if I got anybody hopes up. I wasn't trying to troll. I legit got a text from my dad and it just happened to be false information.

Still confident we got Gruden and hope nobody takes this stuff personal.

Currie isn’t going to announce anything before our regular season ends. He respects the seniors too much and doesn’t want to overshadow their final two games. Also, he is super concerned, as he should be, how his own reputation comes across firing a coach in his first year as AD, so he wants to give these remaining coaches the most respect possible as they coach these last two games for the future of their careers. Announcing any kind of hire before the Vandy game would just cause everyone to not even care about those last two games. How much football talk has been on this board the past 6 days? Almost none since Butch got fired. Imagine if we went ahead and announced Gruden as our coach?? It would all be about assistants and next season.

Last factor is Gruden’s potential assistants. They want to give their current players the best that they have for their final games, and they don’t want major distractions being asked daily if It is true that they’re joining Geuden’s Staff. Some of them like Tee have already been getting those questions, and they don’t like it. Just imagine if Gruden was already announced how many questions those guys would be getting?

The parallels between this hire and the baseball hire are really telling. Curry really keeps his cards close. I doubt we will know anything definitive until he makes the announcement. First legitimate leak will be when the new coach tells his current players that he is leaving. Then the craziness begins.

Guys the Gruden dance is over. This entire piece was preemptive because the answer is still no and turned us down.

Anyone reading anymore into it is setting up for more disappointment IMO

I would take Kiffin back if he did a public apology for leaving. Then did a 30 million buyout if he leaves for another school and 0 if he’s fired. That would prove he wants to be here.

Then I would fire his ass after he apologized!!

Don't believe he's trolling. He may be getting wrong information but I don't think he's trolling. He's well known and several on VQ know his real identity.

He's out of Chattanooga so I bet his contact is David Blackburn. David now works for a Sports Agent.
