Goes along with the post earlier about Gruden wanting to hit the ground running with a staff mostly or completely intact the day he's announced.

I don't know. I'm sure there are more but I get what you are saying. With the early signing period now and the fact that Gruden isn't a sitting coach, There's really no reason to wait.....unless it's not Gruden and we have to wait for a sitting coach

This is a fan base who filled Neyland after Georgia and Alabama beat our @ss and everyone was done with Butch. This fan base is not bandwagon, and we are the greatest ever at coaching searches and love of our team.

Best fan base in the country, bar none.

Larry just replied and seems to think after talking to enough people in the know that we have moved on from Gruden. Next up would be Mullen, Patterson, Peterson, Fuente, and Frost. He thinks those interviews start after the Vandy game.

Who knows, maybe he was given some bad info, but it sounds like it's done with Gruden.

Bingo. My guess is it announced that Sunday with a press conference to follow on Monday.

No matter who the coach is, they will have it worked out before the announcement which assistant coaches will be retained and which assistant coaches they will bring along. Then it's time to hit the recruiting trail.

There is zero chance we don't interview before Vandy. Unless it's a formality. It may not be Gruden but the coach will be hired a day or two after Vandy. Jmo

Seems to me if it's Gruden that we'd get a Tuesday announcement after he finished his Monday night football responsibility for that week. Doing an announcement this late in the week or even on a Sunday doesn't make sense if it's him.

So, I'm predicting that if a coach is named on 11/26 or 11/27, that it won't be Gruden. If an announcement is made on 11/21 or 11/28 it will be announcing Gruden is coming!

As far as the airplane watching today, isn't Gruden already in Seattle?

Ugh, that's not right...we were so caught up in this **** and the guy was scared and in the hospital. I feel he kind of got lost in the shuffle...

So Gruden turned it down a 3rd time and we have moved on a 2nd time adding 4 more names to Frost.
