Currie tried to hire Jim Leavitt as replacement for Snyder at KSU. Leavitt is Taggart's DC at Oregon.

A connection, maybe?

Well if that's the way they are running things, I don't have a ton of confidence they get this right. My first question to Gruden would be "Are we wasting our time?". He's been in knoxville multiple times and I refuse to believe that there hasn't been detailed discussions on this. I also, believe Peyton has been involved as well as Fulmer. I just don't think this has been handled the way it's being portrayed. This is all conjecture on my part and maybe I give the Currie and company way too much credit and I could be dead wrong.

My waivering on gruden has nothing to do with UT. I think we did everything possible besides selling our soul and being too reckless.

lol I just don't get it. Everyone quits so easily around here. One rumor of bad news and they fall apart. One rumor of good news and we're calling it trolling or lies.

Maybe Gruden won't be the coach, maybe he did say no and we'll end up with Brohm or Bobo or Connor McGoogleman but all we're going on now is what exactly? A jimmy hyams tweet? JAV post? Yeah, I'll wait to call everyone trolls and liars.

No matter what they aren’t announcing a coach before the season ends. It never happens and it won’t start with UT.

I thought the same thing but I saw where Hubbs mentioned, may have been on his Sunday morning show, that he expected a majority of kids to sign early. Said other teams wouldn't guarantee them a spot in the spring signing period.

Is this a serious question? Orange Pill is the guy who has family in the BOT and posted a ton of info about the Gruden deal.

Yeah. The plane tracking was a big clue. And if Hubbs can't shut it down with a couple phone calls, Hyams sure as hades ain't.

I think in the absence of info in the inferno of Grumors, many are clinging to personal opinion and the previous history of 2012. Its understandable when your drawing a check for the info, but I wouldn't put a ton of stock in that yet.

Someone tweeted it, just off a fake account with his name...I’m guessing some kid that runs it. The poster probably just didn’t check and see if it was a real account

Throwing out an unlikely theory:

What if the Gruden deal was out there to help elevate the UT coaching job's attractiveness? If we offer Gruden $10+ million, then others might be more interested?

Just sharing a random thought.
